Yeah - it really could be part of the process. He wants the timeline to be James first, then Wade. Once those two are settled, he can pinpoint who has he best picks and how to steer - if possible - where Chris signs.

And James' decision will directly affect the options for Bosh. Its all so interrelated that there seem to be some deadlocks in the system... which means that one or more impatient teams might be the ones to swing it in the end, but pulling back offers. Or it could just all hinge on LeBron's Wednesday post-camp decision.

i dont think it can happen at the presser but i wouldnt be surprised if it leaks before july 8 if it gets agreed to before then

Well in any case he will mos def be asked about it today. We won't get a name but we might get some insight as to whether this report is true or bogus.

We need someone with enough size to play the 3, and ideally someone who can really rebound. Brewer, Korver, Morrow are all poor rebounders. Outlaw is the best of this lot on the glass.

Morrow has had two good seasons behind the arc. He's showing good consistency. The thing with Kapono was that he got a lot of open looks spotting up in the corners thanks to the presence of Shaq in the paint. Morrow, I believe, has a little more game than that.

Yeah, Jason Kapono posted a 13.8 PER in that contract year with Miami. He's never come within 2 points of matching it before or after, and has a career PER of 10.8. Morrow was at 14.7 in his rookie year and 14.0 last year. He's a better player than Jason Kapono.

Yeah, he also had a TS% of almost 60% while going to the FT line less than twice a game. He'd be good with us pending we can get a good PG like Collison. He'd be absolutely lethal on the Suns.

Why is everyone going on and on about Childress? This is the same guy that walked away from ATL because he didn't want to play for the same amount of money as the now proposed MLE. Having gone overseas and returning a more seasoned player, and now in a bulging market, signing for that amount of money makes terrible business sense. Why would he do this?

Ronnie Brewer might make sense but IMO he's simply a more experienced Sonny Weems (who has more scoring potential as we've seen in absence of Bosh).

Travis Outlaw should jump at anything the raptors throw his way unless a championship caliber team makes him an offer or he has a guaranteed starting role.

Morrow, JJ?? Come on...that's regression. JJ doesn't offer anything over Bellineli and Marco is a better passer by far. Morrow is a severely one dimensional player and his shooting was emphasized in the GS system. I would go as far as to predict zero burn and yet another flop for him in TO. Where does he fit in the rotation unless Belli is shipped from whence he came?

Travis Outlaw makes the most sense for this team, long at 6' 9" and can hit the 3.

I will pass on all the other mentionables including Barnes. He belongs on a close to championship team and could only steal minutes from our younger developing players. Pointless!!!
Having said all that I can concur with many of the previous postings on Gomez, entirely a BC move. He can shoot the 3 and might be useful when defending some of the stronger SF such as mello (BC reasoning, not mine).
Keon Clark, best center prospect the raptors ever had. All of 221 lbs soaking wet (joint in hand also included).

If we end up trading Calderon, let's say for peanuts, I wouldn't mind giving a deal to Ridnour. Like him alot.

Outlaw isn't very good at the 3. He is more effective at the 4.

I'm sure Colangelo still has a little bit of hope left in Belenelli so I can't see him signing Reddick. Or atleast, I hope not.

With the absence of Antoine Wright, we're going to need a lock down defender: Matt Barnes. I would be VERY pleased with Matt.

Ironically, I would be happy with none of those guys.

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy has been privately raving about free-agent guard J.J. Redick, claiming he is the only guy on his roster that truly cares about the game of basketball.

Van Gundy is hoping that ownership will do all they can to keep Redick in Orlando.

The Celtics and Hawks are impressed with Redick, who could command mid-level exception money over five years.

This is true. Childress did turn down something close to the MLE from ATL because Olympiakos came knocking with an offer too good to pass up. Not sure if anyone in the NBA is willing to give him more than that but if hes looking at returning to the NBA after having made good money in Greece then MLE is not a horrible thing to take. He made sure there was an opt out clause for each year of his contract so he can come back at any time. Who knows but certainly he is not going back to Atlanta.

Probably JJ Reddick, a shooter who cannot defend, he fits the mold of this team perfectly.
