I can't speak for others, but for me it isnt a choice..... I've literally had a panic attack at work simply over the Bulls losing a game to the Knicks by blowing a double digit lead in the 4th qtr.....maybe I'm insane, either way I can't do this anymore...it has nothing to do with Bosh or Wade, but the idea that LBJ could be a Knick is too much for me to handle, I hate that team more than anything...

I'm done with message boards, and until I can look at it as just a game and not the determining factor in my life for whether im happy/sad then i just have to walk away after 21 yrs... all the best to you all

And the winner of biggest over-exaggeration is....

Everyone will say that now and think "OMG WTF DID WE DO THAT FOR!" in two seasons. Hinrich was largely viewed as taking a discount to stay with the Bulls when he signed his deal.

Many Bulls fans standards are high. Six titles in eight years was like a drug, if you were around for it. And it was a high that lasted long after the dynasty broke up. I could laugh about Tim Floyd, Kornel David, and Rusty Larue. Those teams sucked but hey, the afterglow was still there.

By 08, losing was not so fun anymore when that team came crashing down.

Our place in the league should be competing for it all with the Lakers and Celtics.

Now its going to take Rose becoming a big time superstar to make that happen. He has a chance at least.

It was only last week that we began to consider Wade a possibility. In fact, it was Saturday, after the Bulls had a second meeting with him. We were cursing his name on Friday. There is no evidence that the Bulls FO ever believed that Wade was coming here. There is no evidence they every believed Bosh was coming here, although it seemed they put in a good effort to get him here.

We are the ones who've been trapped by the hype and fantasy of a superstar team, even though most of us agree Wade and Rose are too similar and that Bosh never seemed to want to come to Chicago.

If Lebron stays in Cleveland, who cares? We can build a team to beat them. If he goes to NY, who cares? We can build a team to beat the LBJ Knicks, too.

Rose is the league's next superstar. Let's keep building around him.

What are we hearing about Lebron?

Cleveland beat writer a moment ago said Chicago is NOT out of it. Says LeBron really likes Rose and Noah. Also downplayed Knicks rumors. My guess is the "Chicago is out" rumors are people jumping to conclusions because Wade and Bosh turned down the Bulls.

Thanks buddy.

Now the Bulls gave up their mid 1st + money TO CLEAR Kirk's salary. Looking at how much Gay got signed for, Deng actually has positive value. To move Deng for another pick, we take back a bad contract making less (i.e. Garcia). Now we have 3 picks + JJ, Taj to give TOR for a Bosh S&T, which there's no way they pass up on. We sign Bosh, and he gets his 6 years. This forces WADE & LBJ to make their move. Who blinks 1st & runs to CHI? Who goes to NY? Will LBJ stay in CLE? Because there is no way LBJ would team with direct comp. for the league's best when wade already has 1 ring up on him. Bulls would have been in the drivers seat...

Now we have to get Lee/Boozer and pray that LBJ approves and joins us. But a sick feeling I get is we would have known that info by now....

Before FA started, everyone thought Bosh to Miami was a lock.

Bosh went to Miami.

Why do people think management screwed up?

Yes, there was indication Bosh was attached to either Wade or LBJ. what I'm saying is what comes first, the chicken or the egg? My argument here was to focus on Bosh, give him all the attention he was after & lock him up, which forces Wade/LBJ to make their choice. But we head straight to the top...getting "save the best for last" interviews with LBJ, and multiple meetings with Wade...don't know about everyone else, but I didn't hear much on the Bulls-Bosh meeting at all.

All we constantly heard was how bad Bosh wants an S&T, and how it was becoming more difficult to get that done. Now that indication is Bosh will just take the 5 years, TOR might cave for a S&T. It was the Bulls job to take advantage of that situation, by gathering more assets with Deng, to compile the best offer for TOR, & overwhelm Bosh that HE would be the #1 option in a huge sports market. As of now it seems we were banking on a LBJ/Mike Miller or Lee combo SMH.

LBJ may still come here, I certainly haven't given up on that, but I'm just mad we didn't secure Bosh first, which WE'D ALL AGREE was what we were looking for since forever...a young, star PF.

Do you think Monta Ellis would fit the Bulls? If so, do you think we can pry him away?

Ok. That's not good news. But who knows? Maybe this push Bron to us against Wade and Bosh.

And if Bron stays in Cleveland, with basically the same team, and Miami couldn't get some quality bench and role players, they wouldn't have an elite team.

So if we can get
Lee or Boozer
and
Morrow or Reddick or Mike Miller

then we got a team who has a good chance to beat them.

If no Lebron what are the trade options?

I personally think David Lee is overrated, I'll take him because he's better than Taj. He's not a 13.5 mil player, closer to a 9 mil a year guy. I would rather shoot for something great, get a couple of young players that have the potential to be monsters in a couple years.

If we don't get Bron, we will have to that the long but steady approach to winning, like most other franchises. I'm ok with that, it takes years to build a champ, get a Josh Smith, Anthony Randolph and/or Monta Eliis. Bulls have to do something though.
We all die, the goal is not to live forever, the goal is create something that will.
