It's pretty damn special. Similar to Kobe/Gasol.
Its high quality. But its not Kobe/Gasol. Its more like Billups/Melo or Williams/Boozer or Durant/Westbrook. Which is still freaking great, and I'd love to have it.
But even with how great Kobe/Gasol is, in order to squeek out a title against a Boston team with no superstar players (at this stage in their careers) they required a cast that included Artest (who played out of his mind), Odom, Fisher and Bynum.
I'm clearly acknowledging that it could form the base of a title team. But by NBA "core 2" standards, its right in there with a group of teams. Its excellent, but nothing to be scared of.
Dynasty cores scare me. Not competitive ones. Miami has a competitive one, not a dynastic one.
Unless LeBron signs.
