Because we really haven't had any good games against him? It might be a preparatory, softening-the-blow kind of thing. After one of those games was when he uttered his, "They don't play no defense," smirk. MSG can say he never wanted to come here all along, despite our best efforts.

Well they should not have played any Knicks vs. Cavs games in that case... Just my opinion.. This whole Lebron saga has me drained!!! I've been a suffering Knicks fan for the past decade, and to have the best player in the world dangled in front of you with no assurance that he's coming is TORTURE!!!

just looking forward to this being over and moving on. I actually like the direction this team is going if we make that Randolph trade. We will make a strong run for a CP3 or Melo as well.

Just a little thing i saw on Twitter a reporter for NBC30 is at Greenwich and said

" Observations from Lenronia in Greenwich: All Knicks fan here, this is the nicest Boys and Girls Club in history, Fans keep showing up. "

Now is LeBron really gonna say he is going to Miami when he is surrounded by Knicks Fans.... I just dont see it, it makes no sense this Miami thing im Feeling NYC

i reminded of something bill bradley said at his jersey ceremony-- something about HOW you win is crucial. that speech has been broadcast several times on msg. can't find it on you tube.

if lebron goes to miami he just doesn't get anything about legacy and legend.

the shortest route to "legendary status" is though nyc.

he only needs to win twice in nyc and he's a made man and will become at least as legendary reed, debuscherre, frazier and the others. he'll immediately be on a par with duncan and olajuwon and kobe bryant and wilt chamberlain and abdul-jabbar. 3 times and he is considered on a par with bird and perhaps magic. anything beyond that he is up there with jordan and russell.

Either he's coming to the Knicks or he wants to kick us in the nuts.

I would assume if he is heading to Greenwich, he would fly into Westchester Airport.

Which makes the whole thing even more odd.

I'm just lawling at all of this now.

They're just making us chase the ball up and down the field until 9:00.

Over it.

Look down the list for the 9pm time slot, I use this site for out of market NCAA games it works great 99% of the time although tonight it might crash.

Dude, I watched OJ live, while the Knick playoff game was going on. It ticked me off to no end that the game was being interrupted. This one comes close, but that was truly wild.

I remember that day like it was yesterday... I was watching on tv and listening to the radio at the same time b/c of the interruptions. LOL

I still think he is coming to NY.

Think about the many times the media has breathlessly proclaimed the flava-of-the-day to be the the lead horse in this....only to do an abrupt about face. ESPN's Broussard the primo example. 2 weeks ago, the knicks were not even worth mentioning and Chi was the real deal...knix get STAT and suddenly are in the picture and not a peep about Chicago....

The proposed move to Miami does nothing to advance his brand and actually tarnishes it especially given the manner under which the announcement would have to occur.

He's in NY today b/c Carmelo's wedding?...c'mon...the dude could do a quick presser in Ohio like Wade did for his announcement...jump in the Gulfstream and be in NYC for cocktails.

This setup has all the trappings of a brand being launched...create multiple levels of buzz, daily misdirection etc....If he came straight out for the Knix days ago with the usual press conference, new shirt and hat etc., the reaction from non-NYC fans w/b underwhelming....HOWEVER, create the misdirection (MIAMI) to get the WOW factor for the launch by setting everyone up...and he grabs everyone's attention....as much as these three guys have talked about their moves, the possibility of all 3 joining forces only became a story today?!?

Plus David Stern has been very inconspicuous by his absence....he knows that the league is built on the rivalries and the two-man setup in Chicago, Miami and NYC is the way to create the real action for years to come....the mini All-Star concept in Miami doesn't do it....

In real terms, didn't Wade just get divorced...wife probably took half...yea, he's gonna take a big paycut!

For LBJ in Miami, he ain't even Robin....he's part of the Beatles or better yet, the Jonas Brothers, b/c he doesn't even have a ring yet!

Something just doesn't add up.....
