I would, but I'm not close at least to the other WRs, RBs, and DBs
HS being a O or D lineman is a waste it seems like to me at your size and weight. That's like tryng to fit a square into a circle pattern.
There is a guy starting, who is literally the same height and weight as I am, Starting left guard, but he's suspended for the first 3 games for doing illegal things. (Not Steroids)
I say do something you are passionate about and are willing to work hard at, because if you aren't willing to work and if you are in it for the girls and the cool parties and a cool lettermans jacket try out for Drama class instead.
No, I am not in it for that. I am in it because I don't want to leave HS with regrets and I always wanted to play on the HS football team.
Do something you give a crap about and work hard at it. I'd look for a different position. Shoot if RB, WR, DB isn't going to work out for you, be the best special teams guy on the team.
Too slow for those positions, RB is the position I always dreamed of playing but I'm too slow. Maybe H or fullback I should say.

Correct.
your size is definitely high school Safety or LB size. Didn't realize you were play O-Lineman- I thought maybe Defensive End was what you meant by line. I would get the hell off the O-line and start dedicating yourself to increasing your stamina and your speed. You can definitely be part of a LB rotation if you can improve your stamina and burst.
I am a Defensive End when I play on defense. But we run a 3-4, so it's almost impossible to do anything anyways, since all 3 of the Linemen are doubled and that's why I don't get reps. I have no choice but play offensive line because I'm too slow for any other offensive position. I don't mind O-Line that much though, it just takes memorization and quick feet, doesn't take that much speed or stamina.
O-Linemen getting reps in front of you are probably guys the QB trusts that have played with him a few years. hard to break into that niche
Basically, or Juniors that have experience playing O-Line in the past.
If your head coach has advice follow it.
Yeah, I think I might want to ask him again and ask him what he thinks about all this. or Maybe I should ask the Defensive Coordinator If I could try Linebacker, but I don't really want him to re-teach me all the things he taught the other LBs in the past. Then again it would technically be the head coach's fault for taking me out for a while. Another problem i Have with LBs is that some of the guys just don't like me, Like I remember there was this time where the Head Coach told me to go to D-Line to try it out, one of hte LBs sounded excited and he basically finished it for him and said "Yo, D-Line is over there, you should go there." I mean, I felt insulted since the guy sounded like he really wanted me out.
What do you think? Talk to the D-Coordinator/LB coach this time or/and the Head coach again??
