Charlotte Bobcats Current Salary Cap Position

Post#1 » by Mezotarkus » Sat Jul 17, 2010 2:08 pm

Hey guys - may want to sticky this. The Google doc at the link below shows the Bobcats current salary cap position (including cap holds and luxury tax posture) along with links to other teams.

why is dwayne jones on there?

how much did we sign mcguire for?

did we ever get a clear answer on how much the first year of tt's contract is worth?

Jones is still on because he cleared waivers and players that cleared waivers stay on their team's cap figure. Of course, Jones contract was unguaranteed so ultimately the salary won't count against the cap figure I do not believe. Probably shouldn't be there but I think the algorithms used to assemble these figures need to be spruced up to hand players with unguaranteed contracts that clear waivers. Normally, once all the offseason hullabaloo has ended there's a manual review of the spreadsheets to clean them up of any glitches.

Becuase it sucks :)

Did we really sign McGuire? I don't think so.

I am bound to believe storytellerscontracts cause I don't know nothing better right now. One thing is sure - it is not frontloaded.

That looks reasonably accurate to me ... but I'm a bit doubtful of the TT number. I think that his contract is going to be like Crash's ... 8 mil a year.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

From a glimpse of it.
- they have Crash's contract wrong, it is very probable bonuses kicked in and it should be 10.5 per
- no McGuire on our roster (yet?)
- no Dwayne Jones on our roster (yet?)
- we don't have Raja Bell trade exception anymore
- they already have Livingston here (albeit it is still pending and anthing can happen, well I won't question that this time) and and the same time they have us to have full MLE; can someone explain to me how we signed Shaun Livingston, we weren't under the cap right?

Awesome post. The only thing missing from making it HoF was a third line that simply read:

"And naked"

I think late, drunk and naked would have to describe me watching a game with this team as currently constituted. This is an ugly team right now, absent some changes. The FO better get to work, like yesterday.
