Orlando Receives:

you approved Lakers/Orl follow up deal before you appoved this trade, most likly a mistake, but technically Orlando does not have Ibaka or Maynor yet to redeal them untill this is approved

The Suns and Nuggets have agreed on the following trade.

Suns Get
Elton Brand $15,959,100

Nuggets Get
Hedo Turkoglu $10,215,850
Channing Frye $5,200,000

We hope Turkoglu and Frye succeed in Denver. We felt as if going forward we were going to need a more traditional power forward. Even though we understand at this point in Brand's career he is just a role player, we hope he can still give us 15ppg, 9rpg. We have the best medical staff to date and we hope we can get Brand back into form. Also Brand's deal is a year shorter than Turkoglu's.

Melo for Rose is pretty well even

Billups, 1st for Deng, Gibson, Asik is pretty well even.

This isn't 2007, Billups isn't anywhere near Rose's league.

So what do I and Portland have to do to get the trade work? Add another $5Million? Couldn't we just subtract Turiaf and have the TPE?

No, because Roy and Camby doesn't work for Kobe straight up.

Roy is a BYC player so the deal has to work with his full salary and also with 50% of his salary

If you still have Jerryd Bayless, he makes the trade work. It's not 5 million that's needed. More like 2.5.

So I have to add 50% of his salary or Portland? I'm getting confused :(

Portland needs to add at least 2.3 million. If they have Jerryd Bayless, he'd be outstanding filler.

The thing about BYC, will, is that Brandon Roy's outgoing trade value to Portland is only 50% of his actual salary. Even though he'll make 13.7, his value to Portland is 6.8 million. The deal works for LA, because they take on his full salary, so 11 and 13 for 24 is good, but it's only 7 and 11 for Portland, which doesn't match 24. Does any of that make sense?

The Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers have agreed upon a trade.

The Pistons send Greg Monroe ($2,798,040), Jonas Jerebko ($762,195), Jonny Flynn ($3,192,000), Jason Maxiell ($5,000,000), 2011 DET AND 2012 1st in exchange for Danny Granger ($11,173,202).

Pistons Outgoing/Pacers Incoming: $11,752,235
Pacers Outgoing/Pistons Incoming: $11,173,202

Deal OBVIOUSLY works!

We HATE to give up so much, we really do. Had to think about this for a long time (and still thinking to be honest), but the purpose of acquiring multiple assets earlier in the game is to get a player I could finally build around. With Granger, we feel we can do that. With Stuckey, and Beasley around Granger, and some expirings, we hope we can build something that can compete now, and grow in the future.

Accepted. I get a lot of assets for a SF that previous management saw fit to use a top 10 pick on a back-up to. If someone really needs reasoning on my part let me know.

Lakers Get
Jason Richardson $14,444,443
Grant Hill $3,240,000
Earl Clark $1,898,760
Goran Dragic $$1,972,000
2011 1st Round Pick
Rights to Gani Lawal

Suns Get
Ron Artest $6,322,320
Kenyon Martin $16,795,454
Toney Douglas $1,071,000

Accept. Artest is one of the best defensive players in the game, and can create his own shot as well. He had a down season offensively as a Laker, since the tri offense limited his game. Now Artest can drive and post up with more room to operate. Martin is another good defensive/rebounding big we're happy to add. He also has a big expiring contract. We like Douglas as a prospect better than Dragic. Douglas is a good overall scorer and a good defender.

Accepted. The deal is basically Ron Ron / Douglas for Dragic / Clark / Gani Lawal and 2011 first. Everyone else expires. We love this deal for our rebuild. Dragic altough call me crazy is the next Nash. Im happy with the first round pick, even though i dont know who the heck is in this draft.

I will update my roster after I announce this next trade.

Orlando has agreed to an absolute BLOCKBUSTER trade with Houston. This move shakes the very grounds upon which both teams are built. PENDING APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS TRADES

Image

Dwight Howard - 16,647,180
Drew Gooden - 5,765,000
Luke Walton - 5,260,000
Corey Maggette - 9,600,000
Steve Blake - 4,000,000
Total: 41,272,180

for

Yao Ming - 17,686,100
Aaron Brooks - 2,016,692
Patrick Patterson - 1,823,280
Trevor Ariza - 6,322,320
Kevin Martin - 10,600,005
Total: 38,448,397

A quick estimation: 38 x 1.25 = 47 > 41

Rationale: Orlando is so sorry to trade Dwight Howard. This organization never had intention of moving him, but our desire is to put a championship basketball team on the court. The transition from Howard to Ming will be a smooth one. These are the two best centers in the NBA and any club would be lucky to have either one. What swung this for us was receiving Brooks, Martin, and Ariza. Swapping them for our worst contracts allows so much more flexibility. We feel like as our roster currently stands, we will have 6 or 7 guys that go off for 20 on any given night. Further trades will need to be made to open playing time for those who deserve it.

Addressing Yao Ming: We are concerned about his contract status and his health concerns, but if he is playing at a high level, we will be the team to be in the NBA. This, coupled with the mass of fans he brings with him, was sufficient for us to sign off on this deal.

Houston receives the best center in the NBA before he even hits his prime. We wish Dwight and his new organization the best of luck going forward.

Houston waives the unguranteed contracts of Mike Harris and Alexander Johnson before the trade. Rockets accept. It was tough to basically give up 4 of my core pieces + Patterson for D12 and a bunch of contracts but D12 is the best center in the league I had to acquire to build around. I was in a position with talent but not enough playing time for everyone so I had to trade quantity for quality. I will find a way to deal with the contracts but Maggette is a solid scorer and Blake is a decent PG. We wish Martin, Yao, Ariza, Brooks and Patterson luck in the future.

Los Angeles Clippers accept this trade. Since trading away Eric Gordon we need some scoring to replace him. I also don't have any faith that Aminu will be good.
