Why would we think Johnson will have nagging injuries?
It took Gerald Wallace 6 seasons to average 18 ppg. Would you have said that he would
never be a 18-20 ppg player after his third season as well?
It's certainly not a forgone conclusion that Johnson will be injury prone, but he already has had some small nagging type injuries as shangrila pointed out.
As I said, a number of things would have to fall into place for Brewer to achieve this, but if given playing time, some specific plays drawn for him, and if we continues to improve, I don't think 18 ppg is outlandish. Per 36 minutes last season, he was at 15.5 ppg.
And this is coming from a guy who isn't a huge Brewer fan. The reality though is that he will likely be gone by the trade deadline, or the off season with only a small handful of games in which he shined in.
