Why is this guy still able to post? He is clearly just baiting people. What is going on here?

You're deluding yourself. Chicago could have offered. They didnt.

The reason why he didn't get an offer, just like how Bosh and Wade didn't get an offer is because everyone was waiting for Lebron to make their decision. The Knicks and Heat were the only teams that had enough cap space to have at least 2 max contracts. If Chicago or New Jersey made an offer to Amare they would be out of the Lebron running. You have to remember Lebron didn't make his decision until after we had a verbal from Amare. Come on man its like you were asleep through the whole fiasco...

he is a better player than bosh. the problem with the suns is that both stoudemire and nash could not defend the position at an above-average level. come the playoffs every player should be able to defend the position or risk losing. not even nash's mastery of the point guard position could make up for the fact that he is one of the worst defenders in the league. eventually good defensive teams will find a way to make nash less efficient, whereupon he is made into a losing player who as an erstwhile orchestrator and facilitator is turned into more of a scorer, ie playing a losing style of basketball that is the default position for players you get a stiffy for, such as dinglebury, robinson, and jennings. with them you don't even need a good defensive team to make them less efficient-- they do it all by themselves.

oh and they suck at playing defense too.

any other questions?

Amare has won more and gone farther in the playoffs then Crawford or Randolph. The Suns should have a chip but got totally jobbed by the NBA against the Spurs and Horry.

This thread is now about something more realistic and entertaining. Men of questionable sexual orientation riding in on flying alligators.

Now I am convinced you are Isiah. This is exactly what he used to say when he was the GM here. Comparing his 23 win seasons to conference finalists.

after TWO YEARS...it was for NO REASON. just like you're tryna say walsh is being critiqued by me after two years FOR NO REASON.

isiah's failures and success are a matter of record. i ain't gotta list them for you. he drafted some good players and made some bad trades. that's it, in short. he gave donnie a better start than layden gave him. isiah was gonna be over the cap for three years if he hadn't done ONE THING starting from dec. 2003. he could have just thrown that old man garbage out there FOR YEARS (spoon, dyess, ward, eisley, etc) and just drafted and he STILL would have been over the cap. donnie didn't have to START there. donnie had young pieces and expiring contracts coming off RIGHT AWAY.

What are you talking about?

There would have been $24 million coming off the cap immediately, with Dyess, Ward, and Travis Knight expiring in summer 2004, Isiah's very first off-season. Dikembe would have expired the following off-season, and I think Kurt Thomas would have also been expiring shortly as well, but he was re-signed in March, after Isiah took over. Pretty much everyone else would have come off by summer 2006, so I don't know where you get 3 years from.

As for Walsh, the only player he had coming off the cap his first year was Malik Rose (about $7 million), which still would have left us like $20 million over the cap. Zach, Curry, Crawford, and Jeffries (totaling $45 million next season) were all signed through 2011, and then Steph, Jerome, and Q had 2 years left.

You play to win the game!...that's such awful logic. I know I want a title for the knicks really badly, but I also know that there can only be one team to get that glory every year which means that great teams can be blocked by other great teams. How a supposed Knick fan doesn't understand that logic after watching Ewing and co get held back by the Bulls and lacks the capacity for reason to extrapolate that point to teams other than the Knicks, aka the Suns in this discussion, would be baffling if I hadn't long ago realized that a huge number of people simply refuse to think, at all, cause it's hard and stuff.

These trolls aren't worth the effort. I'm embarrassed I even gave them a real response. They'll slink back into the shadows and under the rocks where they came from as soon enough never to have to answer to their irrational statements and hateful attitudes. Only to return under another name to troll again. These are the worst type of pathetic trolls that there are. Cowards.

There's more and more popping up with a handful of posts yet signed up years ago. That is planned trolling, they knew they were going to get banned for their baiting and trolling so they made other names before their banishment so it wouldn't look like it was the same poster returning. These posters are losers of the worst kind.

...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Meh. I'm a sucker for trolls, I think Trolling is a art so when it's done well it's awesome and hilarious, but sometimes these boring trolls are just good for nothing other than providing a reason to explain something about the team we love. The thing with trolls is that if we didn't like to respond to them they wouldn't come by. Speaking as someone responsible for creating a trolling nightmare, and I still apologize for letting the dude know what trolling was, I can tell you that if we didn't respond and just all ignored their bait they'd move on to a new board. So clearly we're not ready to let go of the trolls.
