1st unit:
Darko -clearly the starter
Love -clearly the starter
Beasly -clearly will play the 3, probably the starter based on FO/Press conf etc
Brewer -debatable
Flynn -debatable
2nd unit:
Pek -clearly backup
tolliver -clearly backup
webster -probably backup, most experience and his game is more suited for the 3
johnson -debatable
ridnour -debatable
Webster could certainly play the 2, but I think they will have him as the backup 3(or starter). He's been in the league and adds stability to the rotation. He can also create his own shot better than brewer and has some semblance of a handle. Beasly may be in the second rotation to have a more balanced scoring attack, but I'm think the plan is the have these guys be the primary 3's.
So the real debate comes between johnson and brewer as the starting 2. Johnsons a rookie. Point brewer. Based on the FO it seems like they want johnson to play the 2. He's also more capable of creating his own shot. He should be excellent when paired with Pek and using screens to get off his absurd jumper. So he pairs well with the BU Center in the 2nd unit, and should add some offensive stability. Brewer will work better with the passing of Love/Darko as he pretty much can only spot up or get fed by outlets/transition. So he pairs better with the 1st unit. Brewer is also more familiar with the system. Defensively Johnson should provide the 2nd unit with some weakside shot blocking, which will help when Darko is off the floor.
