Well, MLB isn't THAT important of a position. Not like a LT/QB/NG, but I'd agree just because Harris is probably the 2nd best LB in the NFL, and he's home grown.

  He is not the 2nd best LB in the NFL. MLB? Maybe, but more like top 5. But LB? No freakin chance

And what is a NG?

I think Kyle Wilson will be a Pro Bowl corner. He's not better than Cromartie yet, but I think by the time the playoffs roll around everyone will know his name.

A Pro Bowl corner? He hasn't even played a snap in the NFL

I saw him in college and though it doesn't always translate to the NFL, I think he has all the talent to be a pro bowl corner. He's not lightning quick, but plays smart and has excellent hands. I think those two attributes are what's most important for a corner.

But the bottom line...after all this posturing...4 years and $46 million ($32 million guaranteed)? Great deal for the Jets.

wait, so he was due guaranteed 21 mill for the next 3 yrs....held out and created a fuss, then settled for 4 yrs guaranteed for 32 mill....so he did all of this for just one more year at 11 mill???? sounds like he didnt really get a good deal afterall (didnt he want 160 mill?)

That's what I thought, but normally it's NT for Nose Tackle. Either way, a big DT is only important for a 3-4 team.

he was only guaranteed 21 mil for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. He had no guaranteed money this season, and if he got hurt this year that 21 mil disappeared. So he basically went from no guaranteed money to 30 mil in guaranteed, and he can still score a ridiculous contract in 4 years when he will still be in his prime (since it seems like this "7 year deal" has early TO options for both the player and the team). It was the right move for Revis, especially after first-hand witnessing the Leon Washington situation last year.

32 million is just the guaranteed money. There's no doubt that he's going to make the full 46 million. The Jets got a really good deal.

Tatupu, Demeco Ryans, Jon Beason (although he plays outside a lot), Ray Lewis even in his old age, Barrett Ruud, Curtis Lofton....there are a few right there with Harris. He's top 5...that's not an insult to the man...calm down.

No.......

Ray Lewis has started to decline a tad, and Demeco/Tatupu aren't touching Harris. Tatupu is a walking injury bug, and I think Demeco is a little too finesse for the 3-4.

Patrick Willis is the best MLB in the league no question. He's on a tier of his own. I think Ray Lewis and Beason are great. Harris can be mentioned with them too as well. However, I think Beason has a disadvantage because he doesn't have Bart Scott playing with him. If I were building a team for the future ground up, I think Beason would get the slight edge over Harris.

I saw 2 Panthers games last year and it looked like he was playing MLB? They also run a 4-3 so maybe it threw me off.

He has moved to MLB. He was originally drafted as a OLB though.

Comparing a 4-3 MLB to a 3-4 MLB is like apples to oranges though.
