Did you watch the same game everyone else did?

cmon man he added some "big black guy" moves to his game. he blocked a shot and knocked 3 guys down with one move. a poor mans dwayne wade with much better 3pt shooting. not to mention ITS ONLY A PRESEASON GAME. who brings their A++ game to preseason? just before a long grueling 82 game season? with this teams history of injuries?

i'd rather bring 2 slices of pizza to a preseason game--than my ankle breaking, 3pt draining, acl spraining "see you in 2 years"--A game

Your going to make that statement in the preseason. Brooks played a good game and sure he has a little rust to shake off but IT IS THE F***ING PRESEASON! What I think you meant to say is extend Brooks before his value increase and becomes to pricey to pay

What is this Brooks talk about anyway? Not only is it meaningless preseason, but him and Hayes probably were the best players out there.

The one I guy I still feel very indifferent about is Kevin Martin.
I thought he looked rather bad (once again). His numbers look good, but he doesn't move the ball, which kills any ball movement/offensive flow anytime he touches the ball. He plays no defense whatsoever and his poor handles get him stuck in bad situations. He somehow ended up drawing fouls on some of them, but that's against some guys trying to make the Spurs roster. If the defense plays him for the shot/drive, he's completly lost and on any handoff or pick&roll he looks for nothing but his shot. His reads are terrible. If nobody is wide open he won't pass the ball. It's me, me, me with the guy. He makes Richard Hamilton look like Jason Kidd.

That said I wish Adelman would mix it up a little more and run more off-screen plays (for Martin) [single double variations, some cross screen plays, some curl plays, etc...] and less read and react offense. It's just so tough to defend and the Rockets have the perfect personal for it, especially when Yao is sitting on the bench.
Recent history has shown that it's one of the best, if not the best offense to run without a designated post player or go-to scorer (Detroit 04, Boston 08).

Though the focus should be on defense for now, because even though the offense still leaves a lot to be desired, the defense is where it starts.

By the way, who knew Marcus Cousin pulled down two rebounds versus Texas, while his hobbies include playing basketball?

Someone pointed this out to me: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore?gid=2010100710
Marcus Cousin. Sounds like you ordered Demarcus Cousins through ebay from China and got his fake rip off version.

I've been up in Canada all week and haven't been able to log onto my slingbox back home. I hate that I've missed both preseason games.

Brooks didn't knock 3 guy down
one guy trying to flop
the other two are down because they bump into each other
in real time it look like Brooks is playing bowling and knock 3 pins down but it's not

The Spurs were mixing it up except for Duncan. The Rockets bench was up against the Spurs starters Jefferson, Blair, Ginobili, and some Parker quite a bit and made their run with the Spurs having starters on the floor. Ironically once the Spurs went to all-bench, the Rockets bench relaxed and played the Spurs bench pretty evenly. It's a marked contrast to the Jazz-Blazers game where the Jazz starters just crushed the Blazers starters, but the Blazers bench destroyed the Jazz bench.

OT: Joey Dorsey had a nice run w/ Toronto the other night. Here's hoping he makes it.

Fingers crossed. It'd be a travesty if he never figures it (or anything else) out.

How does Martin look out there? I haven't been able to catch and preseason games due to my schedule.

I didn't watch the past two games. Has Chuck Hayes unleashed his new mid-range game?
