This is a ridiculous thread topic - better question/discussion would be 'what team poses the greatest threat to LA.' Getting worked up by comments from JVG who, let's face it, has always had a thing for Phil and LA, is pointless.
Something of note, and I realize it's early in the season - but LA looks good. Really good. All of the talk/hype has been around Miami, but LA quietly got better, and not just slightly better. Blake, Barnes, and Ratliff replacing Farmar, Morrison, Mbenga is a huge upgrade both offensively and, more importantly, defensively.
They seem like they're in mid-season form already. Odom playing over the summer was huge as long as he doesn't run out of gas. They can go big, small, offensive lineup, defensive lineup, post, outside - they can match up with anything an opponent wants to throw their way. And they're winning games they normally lose. By that I mean - not taking the first half of the season to fokk around knowing they'll be in the playoffs. Historically they have a tendency to play down to their competition, at least early on. This year they seem committed to jumping on people early, often, and keeping the pedal down. It's almost as if they're sending a message - the road goes through LA. It goes through us.
