NCAA Week 13 (Black Friday Edition)

Post#1 » by Bucksfans1and2 » Fri Nov 26, 2010 2:52 pm

There are quite a few good games today quite a few will have BCS implications. Favored teams in color

11:00 on ABC: West Virginia @ Pittsburgh (will most likely determine which team in the terrible Big East gets into a BCS game)

Image

1:30 on CBS: The Iron Bowl #2 Auburn @ #11 Alabama (Roll Tide)

6:00 on ESPN: #21 Arizona @ #1 Oregon (How is Oregon ranked ahead of Auburn, when they're strengths of schedules are so much different? Is this the same overrating the Pac 10 logic that has Stanford ahead of Wisconsin?)

9:15 #3 Boise State @ #19 Nevada (Another supposed "real test" for Boise, I think they win by 21+)

Why Boise if those other 2 lose, there is an outside outside outside shot of us going to the National Championship and if Boise wins this one it is assuredly going to be Boise/TCU instead of UW/TCU.

I'm not a Wisconsin fan, although I certainly hope you guys win the Big 10.

I'm really hoping Boise gets into the title game.

Why did they hire another woman announcer on ESPN that sounds exactly like Pam Ward?

Well, there are two reasons as to why that's occurred. One which is unjustified, while the other is perfectly justifiable.

The unjust cause is that Oregon was ranked higher in the preseason polls, and people don't have flexible minds on average and want to confirm their original opinions out of bias.

The just cause is that the evidence suggests Auburn almost surely cheated to be in their current position, or at the very least Newton, the only reason they are near undefeated, should have been ineligible from the beginning. Therefore, many pollsters are resorting to jury nullification to create some level of justice. I personally wouldn't even have Auburn in the top 15 for that reason because they wouldn't be there with by far the best player in the country, who has propelled them to a number of close wins where they wouldn't have prevailed otherwise. Sure, let's punish him and their program afterward, still giving them the experience and credit in the interim, and screwing out a more deserving team of their just rewards.

Alabama's defense looks amazing. That defense is probably better than half the NFL's defenses.

Auburn's defense on the other hand is horrible.

Now it's 21-0. It looks like they will finally be ousted to closer where they belong given the given the deficit and opponent. This won't likely be fleeting hope.

Sad truth is though, in the BCS rankings they'll probably still be ahead of our clean team with the same amount of losses, unless the pollsters partake in even more jury nullification. I'd be lobbying hard if I was Bielema subsequent to the wrapping up the Big Ten this Saturday. The NCAA is not going to disqualify Auburn or Newton on account they are financially profiting from his eligibility. He is a very exciting player.

That's a big fumble of Auburn can score. But Bama is dominating. I hate Saban though.

I hope pollsters are doing their diligence and watching this game instead of just looking at the final scoreline. Because this has been a level of domination that's not quite reflected in the scoreline. Bama has left 10 points on the field.

Could easily be 38-7, two costly turnovers.

Gol dammit. This is what happens when you let teams hang around after you should have practically buried them in the first half. They aren't even mounting a comeback most likely if this half starts 34-7, if they could even overcome it anyways.

Arizona State up 1 against UCLA. They'll probably end up choking in that one.

The results that will help our SOS and improve the shot and the national championship just don't seem to be falling our way the last few weeks.

Could totally see that dude was going to get leveled and likely fumble when he didn't call for the fair catch. Huge needed momentum swing for 'Bama.
