uhh Celts and Magic. They can get away with it though because they're loaded with stars.

I prefer a nine man roation myself, but at this point, with where this team is going and a roster three deep at every position, you might as well play ten guys.

Re: 10 man rotation ain't gonna work
The big man rotation of Scola/Hayes/Hill/Miller seem fine.
Scola is the guarantee starter. Hayes/Hill/Miller will play depending on match up.
The problem lies in the other 3 positions (PG, SG, & SF). We know the following will have priority:
Lowry, Martin, Battier, & Brooks (either Brooks or Lowry will come off the bench and expecting Brooks and Lowry to be on the court together in 4th if the match up allowed).
That's leave Lee, Budinger, T Will as the last rotation spot depending on match up.
See how Adelman manages these 3. not to mention about Patterson and Ish (these 2 should spend more time in D League this season)
By the way, JJ will be on spot duty if Scola/Battier in foul trouble and need his length for defense.

I don't see Morey trading them. Budinger trade value is low, so you might as well keep him. Miller probably has some value, but unless a team gets desperate and overpays/bids, they'll keep him around due to loyalty (RA) and to mentor Hill. At least for now.

Re: 10 man rotation ain't gonna work
we cant trade miller, he's shown he's a perfect big for rick's system. other than scola, the other 3 bigs should be in depending on matchups. pg's are set. just sg/sf. i think it hsould depend on who's not in a slump. lee, bud, and twill's minutes are gonna be inconsistent.
or morey could get some trades going. you dont want abunch of role players and no superstars. that's what i would've thought he'd do if things didnt work out for this team.
last thing we could do is just go with the roster, we aint gonna do much, 8th seed at best. just build chemistry, develop players, etc. prolly wats gonna hapen

I woudn't be opposed to trading Miller at the deadline if the right offer comes along.
The guy turns 35 in April. If a team desperate for a big offers a late first I'd take it.
Sooner or later you'll have to put Patterson out there. Might as well do it now and cash in another asset to use in the off-season.

Since the only shotblocker we have is Jordan (and Shane 'the Beast' Battier) the players have to expend more energy playing hustle position defense. Since we play the most back to backs, we'll need all the players getting minutes and staying fresh for the stretch run. I just can't figure how TWill will fit.

Re: 10 man rotation ain't gonna work
another injury proner? i've seen about half of you, maybe more, come up with trades for injury proners, or sign a free agent with a injury history. this may sound harsh but shouldnt it be inside your brains that you dont want any more injury proners? i know i wouldnt trade for one unless it's very cheap, low risk high reward, obviously slim to none chance of happening.
also when healthy bynum = scola. bynum's defense is the same as scola's offense, both are good at what they do, nothing special.

Re: 10 man rotation ain't gonna work
I would keep Miller to be a Mentor. Miller, Battier, Hayes can teach our young guys so much. Bud needs to go though, hes regulated to a jump shooter. He's not utilizing his other tools (ballhandling, playmaking), and he gets lit up on defense.

Re: 10 man rotation ain't gonna work
This is the problem with being a very deep team. Everyone deserves minutes, but somebody is going to have to waste away on the bench. It's not very likely to be successful with a long rotation. As the season progresses, I do think we will shorten the bench. This is why I I am a fan of a consolidation move.

Scola is BYC
making him very hard to trade this season
i was just trying to see how much you guys value a big tall black dude (a true 7 footer)
Hill is 6'9" without shoes so he's not a legit 7 footer

Re: 10 man rotation ain't gonna work
I saw a similar thing happen with Portland. Prtichard kept on stockpiling assets and never cashed them in (assuming because he fell in love with them). He waited so long, players values were shot due to the depth, and he got blinded out of the game.
Not a Rockets fan, but I admire GM's with a fresh approach, so hopefully Morey has a better plan.

We should trade for Gerald Wallace.

Ironically Wallace was the 10th man in the rotation of that 2002 Kings team.
He and Funderburke only played in 5 of the playoff games however.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming
