Where is Erv at? This is the only thing different and its screwing up our winning streak. We need those pictures.

There should be a rule that if you can't do it right, you can't do it at all.

It's not like someone else wouldn't have made the thread.

Settle down Carlos. Let's keep this a one-run game.

Well, it's not the end of the world. But it would've been nice to start off the roadtrip with a victory.

Ann Carroll is scary looking. And has no talent. I see she used to do Minnesota stuff. Send her back please.

Yeah...why even bother having her? Just stick with Craig and Davey...they're not great but they're not as bad as Ann.

I think Davey is pretty bad actually. And Brian says "(players name) hit goes for not" way too damn much as well.

The good thing is we have two more quality pitchers in line to get us back on a winning streak and the Brewers have only lost two in a row twice this year when they lost 3 in a row in early April. I fully expect them to bounce back and pick up the win tomorrow.

BTW Captain Erv, nice run. We still could have used those pictures though since baseball is a superstitious sport. I will forgive you this time though.

It looks like the Scrubs are going to lose, so we maintain our lead. Sheets needs to step up tomorrow.

Tough to lose with one bad inning, but we've won some the same way.

Why let him hit lefties? Mench is struggling versus righties, but he's still killing lefties.

What should happen is Gross and Gwynn play over Mench against righties. There is no reason to have Shrek play against righties just as there is no reason for Jenkins to hit lefties.

Jenkins hit .133 against lefties last year and is hitting .158 against them this year. Why would you possibly want that in the lineup when Mench and Hart both rake against lefties?

I prefer bottom feeders. If you can use that term in the future, that'd be great.

Well Hart should be in the line up every day, so that's a moot point. :D And Jenks is much better than Gross or Gwynn vs. righties, so I don't see that happening either. The problem then, is you'd have a Mench/Jenkins/Gross/Gwynn platoon in one spot, and that's pretty ridiculous. I'm fine with platoons to a point, but Mench just looks lost out there right now. Jenkins isn't the greatest vs lefties, fine. But Gross and Gwynn are also left handed, and Jenkins has shown signs of improvement vs. lefties. There is no reason not to have him out there every day once Hart is healthy.

Would it have been nice to start off with a win? Yeah, but I'm not too upset over this loss. It's not like they were crushed, it was a one-run loss. Move on and get 'em tomorrow night.

At least we got Coco some rest. But, a blowout on our part would've been a preferable method of doing so. :)

Jenkins hits one homer off a lefty and now that means his three years of sucking vs them is cured?Jenkins is 3-19 against lefties this season and hitting .158,Mench is batting .368 vs lefties.

So you want us to play the guy against lefties that is hitting .158 and who hasn't hit them in years instead of the guy hitting .368 vs lefties and who has crushed them his whole career?

That sounds like something Davey Lopes would do,ignore common sense and go with his "gut feeling" instead.

I think you missed the point. LF should remain a straight platoon with Jenks/Mench. The problem is that Mench is also getting PT in right field against righties ; that needs to stop.

Both Hart and Mench have sucked versus righties, yet Yost seems unwilling to give Gross or Gwynn more PT when a rightie is on the hill. Gross should be the one getting more PT out there considering what he did to righties last year.

Congratulations on the win. Looks like you have a great team this year.
Bill Clinton slept with an intern. A consenting adult and he got impeached and nearly disbarred as a result. Donald Trump went to parties showcasing underaged women brought in as basically prostitutes, and he says it's nothing.

Double standard?

Huh? Didn't we just take 3 out of 4 in Arizona, then 2 out of 3 in SF?!?!?!?

meant relatively speaking. even though we played well in this series and the previous 2, we're still not firing on all cylinders. but then i'm comparing things to last year when we cake-walked.
