So Blame Rambis? Really dumb. If any of our last three coaches were here we'd probably still be getting blown out by 20-30 every night.
Do you believe that Wes Johnson made a good cut? IMO he should try to get the attention of Ray Allen somehow. Throw a body, start to run a little earlier, pick a spot... I feel he did not react on time. He was passive.
Anyway i am not saying that it his fault... its Luke to the end.
Wes was camped at the corner to provide spacing. Allen started to move toward the paint before Ridnour even broke free because he knew he was the guy who had to provide weak-side help. He wasn't even paying attention to Wes. Once Ridnour caught the ball Wes cut to the basket. He was open if Luke had seen him.
I have no issue with the play call. It put the Wolves in position to take the lead there, with Ray Allen having to guard the paint against both Ridnour and Wes. Would have been nice if Ridnour had made the right decision and dumped it to Wes, but that didn't happen.
The only thing I had an issue with was them waiting too long to get the ball back to Beasley after he made the stupid turnover.
Well, that and the TO Rambis called when Love had a wide open Wes downcourt. I understand that just about every coach in the league would call that timeout, particularly with a young team, it was just frustrating because I was excited about a potential game winning touchdown pass from Love to Wes.
