Blatche and filler (Thornton) to Portly for Oden and Donald Williams. Yes, the odds are against Oden ever staying healthy, but you hedge the bet. He's an RFA, and what you do is re-sign him to a 1 year deal to give him a chance to rehab his value. Then, you have the inside track in re-signing him long-term. If he's healthy, he's likely the 2nd best big in the NBA - that's why you take the chance. His per 40 minute stats from last season are 1st team all-starish. If he doesn't make it back next season, ya cut your ties and have more cap room. In the meantime, you get 2 or 3 cheap seasons of Donald Williams - who can run with Wall and be an excellent 3rd guard.
Forget Donald Williams - we hold out for Elliot Cunningham or no deal.
