I just don't understand why everyone seems to believe that melo would put them over the top. The team is already leading the league when it comes to scoring.. what they really need is depth and a Center. 'Melo would add a couple of wins at most since they'd be giving Chandler (who's been pretty damn good) and probably Landry Fields (a guy that's perfect as the fifth man in a starting lineup) in a deal. They'd be giving up some of the few assets they already have limiting their opportunities to bolster their bench issues.. unless you want Amare, Felton and Melo all to play 40 minutes a night and completely breakdown by march.
Melo could go during FA, but with the looming CBA negotiations/potential lockout.. do you really hold it against him that he wants to secure his money first.. this is his Job/Career.
And let's be honest, would melo have any realistic shot at winning w the nets? Even two stars isn't a sure thing nowadays,
True, yet:
you'd have to question whether melo truly cares about winning if he goes to the nets.... Especially when he could be in NY w Amare and co.
You just said two stars isn't even a sure thing to win nowadays.
