If the best player on the board is Selby when Minnesota picks, I think I'd rather just trade the pick for some veteran help.

I would hate for Detroit to pick Jared Sullinger at 4, he really just doesn't have much upside being undersized and limited athletically.

I think that Jonas Valunciunas, Enes Kanter or Kemba Walker would be better picks and IMO in this mock they are all far too low

Sullinger seems like one of the few sure things in the draft to me. Those other guys have a lot of upside, but they are much more risky I think at the point in time.

I was kind of stuck between Selby and Vesely. I like both players a lot. I sort of just assume at this point in time Randolph will be a Wolf eventually, so I figured we probably would not take another front court player. If no Randolph though, I could see us going for Vesely to add some athleticism to our front court.

I don't think Selby goes that high...rest looks fine. If anything, Derrick Williams could jump up quite a bit.

Not a lick. I'm just going on the impressions of others, but based on those impressions he seems exactly like the player we need. As for Selby, I am simply not high on him. I think he'll be a 6th man in the NBA at best.

I'm starting to think that Kemba is AT LEAST a top-8 draft choice. You can argue that Kemba is a auto top-5 choice if he does well in the tournament.

I tend not to buy into euros that have been hyped by DX until people get a chance to see them play. Moreover, as march rolls around NCAA players will see their stock go up and euros will fall. Jonas may fill a need, but if he projects to be no better than Biedrins, is he a top 5 pick? I'm very skeptical about him. Being so young, the team that drafts him is going to have to be very patient with him to the point where he might not be an impact player until the last year of his rookie deal.

Well yea, if other sources and opinions come out later with widely different opinions of the guy, I might reconsider. I dont think being patient is really a problem with us since I'd be fine with him coming off the bench for Darko for 2 years or so. I dont really see us trading Darko so getting a project that hustles and plays D makes sense i think

Harrison is a ballsy pick at #2, but I could see it happening since the Wolves desperately need someone to play SG.

Thank you. W/ Barnes, the pick is somewhat aided by the fact that Barnes projects to be a multi-purpose swingman, and also by the fact that Barnes is from Aimes, Iowa which is only 4 hours away from the twin cities. With a market like the twin cities it helps to take players you know wouldn't mind being their long term.
