truth serum wrote:Guys, don't be surprised that Denver turned down that offer. Look what they did to New Jersey knowing Melo wouldn't even extend there the entire time. These guys are playing games. It will come to a head eventually. They chose to go this route so now they will pretty much be forced to trade him. Whether or not he's traded to the Knicks eventually, I'm not so sure of at this point...but he will be dealt and I can't imagine it being for a package much better than that. Part of me thinks it's a bluff for now, part of me thinks that for financial reasons, it actually doesn't make any sense for them to take on our players and we'll have to get a 3rd team involved, and a part of me thinks Ujiri and Kroenke are jack asses.

Good then good day Denver. Maybe we'll talk in July.

Anyone heard anything more on whether Melo is showing up for tonight's game?

We really need to move AR for an unprotected 2012 pick or back to Houston for our own.
I said it earlier in this thread that I don't see the Rockets as much of a threat to trade young talent for a Melo rental, but are rather scaring us into overpaying for our 2012 pick back. I know Morey had interest in AR earlier in the season...maybe he's trying to get more.
