I'm worried about the whole Carmelo Situation. With us being on a 5 game losing streak and not playing well, what happens if we start to tank and drop below .500? That could certainly effect Melo's thought process on coming here... we really need to start winning games again lol.

As a player I am certain Melo is conscious of what the players are going through. It's happening/happened on his team.

In my mind, Felton and Stat and maybe even Gallo are what's attractive(from player standpoint to Melo). Look at Miami- it was Bosh and Wade that was enough from a player standpoint for Lebron.

To say that the denver franchise won't deal with the knicks is pure speculation and baloney.
They deal with Mcdyess to NYk for Nene so there you go Denver was one of the few teams in the past that was willing to deal with NYk. Usually you will have to construct a much bigger package to get Carmelo away but Denver might not be so dumb because Melo will get them in the playoffs, that's a lot of dollars and maybe worth more than that pick they can get before february.

WIlson chandler or Galinari will not take them to the playoffs like carmelo will. You are simply downgrading from superstar to role player so taking on their contracts doesn't benefit Denver.

What Denver wants is expiring and high picks. They don't want any combination of NYK players becausue they are not easy to flip into picks.

NYK player are playin great in dantoni's system but perhaps will fair not so well in Georges.
THe only reaoson why Denver has to deal with NYK is because Melo is simply saying it's NYK or the highway. So the deal breaker is going to be whether that extra NYK pick NYk gives them is more important than making the playoffs. Denver can't beat LA but they can beat upset any other team in the western conference.

And how does getting Landry Fields, Walker, Curry, a pick (perhaps multiple), and Azub (and even Gallo) equate to taking on contracts that don't benefit Denver again? (If we were willing to do that)

We can provide them a variety of things depending on what they're looking for, is that you Brent Barry?

"The whole team is sick of the Carmelo thing," one source said. "They're sick of the distraction."

That's because as a Cav's fan you know better than anyone else that no one wants to live in Cleveland, therefore there's no money to be made in endorsements, that is of course only if your name is LeBron James. But then again even the little money he made in endorsements wasn't enough to keep him there.

I mean you guys must feel so used by letting this guy pimp the whole city, make you guys beg, and then leave that's cold. But there's tons of dough here in NY in endorsements TV, etc that Melo can triple his salary if he wants.

miami is apparently one of his 3 preferred destinations, according to the article. I wonder where his other 2 are.

LAL? Boston?

If Broussard is accurate in what Denver is possibly interested (randolph and Fields) in and they are dead set in moving Melo the obvious trade to me is Fields and Randolph (who are both Cheap and young going forward), A 2012 1st rounder (from A chandler trade) and Cap relief or at most Walsh adds a 2014 1st.

Pat Riley as a coach had an Armani suit deal and Diet Coke deal.

Just read the Nene thing on the wiretap. The guy has a player option. I see no reason why he would be disappointed and I see no reason for the Nuggets to give him an extension if Carmelo doesn't stay there. If Carmelo is gone, Nene is gone as well. They aren't keeping a guy who can't rebound at all to play center. I don't buy that story at all.

Interesting .. That oughta make Denver want to get this over with sooner than later... especially if they want to keep him / prevent others from feeling the same way (more than they probably already do..)

Uriji has managed to irk his star player in Melo, the prodigal son in Billups and now the inspirational Nene. Wow. Just wow.
