Andre Iguodala, and you wouldn't have to hand over all expirings to do it.

I love Iggy, but he's just not a good fit for our team.

In recent games I've seen McRoberts take it to Carlos Boozer and Hansbrough take it to David Lee. Pacers owe it to themselves to see if these two can do this on a regular basis.

Prime example of what not to do imo would be to bring in Carl Landry. For one I think both Hansbrough and McRoberts have the potential to be as good as Landry. Secondly, you could give Landry minutes for the rest of the season (at the expense of either or both Hansbrough and McRoberts) and then lose him (Landry) at the end of the season.

McRoberts has been the only young player this year that has actually known when he was going to play and what his role was for the most part. He started the first 29 or 30 games and he didnt play that well. I dont think he will be with the Pacers next year either way ( unless Tyler is beastly the rest of the year then he may be the backup ) so if you can package him in a deal to get a backup Center or Iggy then I say do it.

I personally dont see the potential that other people see. Teams have to pretty much forget about him for him to make an impact.

Boozer is a terrible defender by the way. Lee may be a bit better but he isnt that great either.

You may be right but, as an organization I think you have to see that for yourself. A lottery pick was spent on Hansbrough you can't just write him off as a sub or throw him in as an anciliary piece in another trade before investing a little time in him on the floor.

What do you think about this:
Indy gives: 2011 1st round pick unprotected, Dunleavy, Ford, Foster
Indy gets: Monta Ellis, David Lee

I think that for that amount of value in return, Indy would be crazy not to do it immediately. After a deal like that, I can't imagine Indy not making the playoffs though, thus devaluing the pick quite a bit.

I think Indiana would jump all over this. Can't imagine GS doing it.

I do that without blinking. Problem is, as I've discussed w/ some GS fans in another thread, they want a legit superstar for Monta, nothing less. So that deal won't get it done for them, especially throwing in David Lee. We'd be better off asking for Biedrins or Vlad Rad instead. That still won't get it done. They don't want anything less than Hibbert or Granger for Monta.

Indy gets a nice return Floppymoose. What is your reasoning behind dumping all that salary?

I'd even throw Rush in there.

Ellis/Lee/ scrub filler

for

11' 1st unprotected
Dunleavy
Ford
Foster
Rush

Final result:
Collison/ Price
Ellis/ George/ Lance
Granger/ George
Lee/ Hansbrough
Hibbert/ (draft Renardo Sydney in the 2nd)

After a deal like this the Pacers would be strapped, it would have to work. The good part is all of the deals are moveable.

I just worry about that super small back court w/ really only Roy as the defense up front. David Lee isn't the greatest defender around.

Warriors new ownership wouldn't start their campaign with that kind of deal.

Eh, you could always still move Granger or Ellis for value, and if Lee keeps putting up great numbers and develops more defensively, maybe his huge contract number won't hurt his value as much as we would like to think right now (now that he's not ours). It's still a young team with pieces that you could always move later for better "fits". Either way, you still have lots of movable pieces.

He's a good rebounder at least.
