You are in play for Melo because he wants to go there, not because you're assets outside of Amare are enticing. They are average for a rebuilding team. You're getting a steal either way.
As long as you can retain Melo, Amare, and a couple of other pieces and reasonable cap space to build around, you do it.
You guys are equally nuts to not give up Bynum for Melo. Guy is a ticking time bomb. Greg Oden lite.
