This is simple. If Melo agrees to go to the Nyets, it's CLEAR he's about the money and not about the winning. But if he still insists on the Knicks, then you know this IS the guy you want to compliment Amare's desire. It's all in Melo's court.

I don't see this Melo deal just about the Knicks fortunes but CLEARLY it's a study about Melo's character and determination.

Melo brought this upon himself he should have just kept his mouth shut and chances are he would be a Knick right now without NY giving up so much, that being said I think he still ends up in a Knicks uniform.

Person familiar with Nuggets-Nets talks describes them as "exploratory" on Denver's part. On scale of 1-5, source says, "Back to level 1."

so much crap is flying around now. Look at the wiretap about Dallis being the only team to stop this. Now the nots. F this crap let's get a center and back up pg at this point I am over this crap. Melo needs to come out and make the statement publicly about wanting to play in NYC he does that all this crap is over. If he doesn't then he does not want to be here bad enough.
IMHO NJ should string them along and then f them the way the nugs did it to them

As it has been all along, it's up to Melo. If he wants the Nyets and his extension, I will not cry one tear.

i love how people kill melo whenever another team pops up...its not melo fault ny hasnt gotten a deal yet even though he has ny given 7 months to do so

and amare came here for the money (no one else giving him 5 guaranteed years), so whats wrong with melo wanting his?

All of you who are trying to show how much 'you don't care'.... you do realise that if we don't get Melo, regardless of the deal, that Donnie is gone don't you?

I'm not being funny but I'd rather have Melo, STAT and a few other good players like Fields, Moz, Shawne, TD with Donnie as GM able to build the roster.

Than our current roster with, probably, Isiah.

Every story that has Melo connected to another team is just Denver trying to scoop up some leverage. The only one I acknowledge whatsoever is the Dallas one as he could resign, they have the pieces( Butler, Beaubois, Jones and a couple of picks) and he somewhat fits (start Kidd, Stevenson, Melo, Dirk and Tyson with Barea, Terry, Marion, and Haywood off the bench). The Nets are not a threat. They weren't a month ago and they're not now.
