Hes what your team is all about, but you couldn't pass up such a great opportunity?
That and Nazr gets traded for DJ White. Sorry I don't count Morris Peterson, this isn't 5 years ago.
Weird trade deadline. Pistons did nothing, many teams made big moves, and the Celtics quietly opened up 3 roster spots (Daniels to Sacramento, two fringe players to Cleveland). Nazr trade was odd until the Wallace trade happened. Team gave up on this season, see you again next year. Surprised that no one trade for the Cavs' Anthony Parker though.
Nazr is cool and all, but he clearly isn't in the long term plans. Kwame looks to be. He's 28, and will age well as a big, and if he appreciates Oakley's training he'll remain in Charlotte next year, hopefully on a cheap long term deal.
Not only that. Nazr was an expiring. It would be kind of sad if we couldn't turn him into an asset for future. At least we got White. It is better than nothing, than just letting him expire and go. Not that I would wish Nazr to be forced to travel to another destination but he seems to understand it is all just business, have no hard feelings and is treated with respect from Bobcats staff (Irr tweeting for example). I have nio problem on Nazr on our team, I like the guy, hopefully he would be helpful to Thunder and their emerging team. They just got a bit more likeable with Nazr there.
