Orlando has very little as far as trade assets go for next season unless they find some kind of surprising deal out of nowhere. Howard is not going to Boston for Rajon Frickin Rondo and Paul Pierce and some guy whose going to make 10m. He's not going to New Jersey for Deron Williams, Morrow, and let's say if they trade off Lopez early and get I don't know one big man. N.Y. has nothing to trade and won't have the cash.

He's going to tell the Magic I did all of this for you, you couldn't get me a second player worth a damn. If you want me to go anywhere I'm going to L.A. in a trade or I'm gone. That's it, that's all.

Chris Duhon+Howard for Bynum+TPE. Difference between New York and L.A. in this situation this year? We're not desperate. Heck you might add in a little value in the form of picks or something during the draft, pay Duhon's cash (worth about 15m). Other than that though it's really Howard's choice. The man will force the deal. If the Lakers have to take on yet another deal in addition they might do so. Bynum stays healthy even better.

Howard is very likely to join a core that includes a MLE PG, Blake, Bryant, Brown or say Azuibuke, Artest-perhaps Barnes, Gasol, and Odom. That's a fantastic team.
