Honestly, I thought we should have pulled the plug on the trade and rolled with the team we had. I felt, and still feel, that far too much went out the door to justify what was coming back.

But my point is you could have taken last night's game thread, substituted Melo's name (or Chauncey's, for that matter) with Gallo or Chandler, and it would have read exactly like a game thread from the first half of the season. Outside of the team (which hasn't been stable since Amare got here), nothing ever changes around here.

True, but the metality before the trade was that Melo was going to fix that. So far, it hasn't. For the price that was paid, I think a little complaining is to be expected.

I agree 100%, somewhere amongst negotiations we caved and gave Gallo (this is when we drew "our line") and then they had the balls to DEMAND for Mozgov. By then we had lost everything. Don't get me wrong, we weren't winning a chip with that squad but if you only got $100,000 to your name, you don't buy a bentley, and thats what we did. We're dirt broke, but we have a Bentley in the driveway.
We always had the leverage, and I think we could have still had Gallo and Mozgov in this squad, especially if (and I don't understand why it didn't happen but sent Brewer to Denver) and although it doesnt make us better defensively, we would have been a bit deeper.

To be fair, plenty of players in this league can put up impressive numbers when losing to sub-par teams.

That was the missing ingredient in the losses

I was thinking of going to go buy the show 11. I buy it every single year. However im not so sure this season. 1st,..im a met fan.

2nd,..all the riff raff last season that went into marketing. It really was not that much different than 09. And looking at the videos, this does not seem all that different from 10.

Dont feel like dropping 60 bones for the same game anymore. Not baseball at least.

Is it the same game for the most part? Am I just getting a roster update and a few new controls? If so I think I will pass for the first time. Maybe start a new season in 10. Maybe do a fantasy type season.
