He lost the ball...

Really no need for green font there.

I heard a few weeks ago how Mike Miller refused to hoist half court shot to maintain a good FG% (shot it after the buzzer and it went in), how Javale Mcgee got his triple double and now this @#!@#% happened to a PG of a championship contender. This is just disturbing to me. If an NBA player step in to the floor worrying what his stats are going to look like at the end of the game, I'd suggest him to go to hell for ruining the sport that I love.

In Mike Miller's defense he's shooting so bad he can't afford to miss anymore on half court heaves.

Not to mention he's been hurt. If say, Ray Allen didn't fall and was running right there behind him, Rondo would have passed it out for a probable assist and this would all go away.
Still can't defend it because in that situation you at least have to give it a shot and focus on driving to the basket rather than passing it. The reason he was looking back for a pass, though, is obviously because he's a very passive player. There's nothing wrong with that, he was just overly passive on this play.
It's bad but this thread is filled with over exaggeration, saying he's a "stat padder" and "scared". Really he's just not an aggressive player and made a mistake in thinking a teammate was behind him and thinking more about passing than shooting. As a bad shooter, his mindset is pass before shoot.. that's just the kind of player he is so the main thing is he needs to learn to get more aggressive at times like that at least. Not too hard to fix and I don't see how he's worried about stats or "scared"...
