its one thing to stand up to him, kudos for that. Another to call him out.

How did Gortat call him out?

maybe not truly "calling him out" but his comments adding up sound like it.

“He’s a load. I was taking a lot of hits for three and a half years and I always thought one day there’s going to be a game where I’m going to face him in a game with real referees, and it’s going to be a different story. We’ll see tomorrow.”

“I know what frustrates this guy, I know what moves he likes to do, what kind of moves [Magic assistant] Patrick [Ewing] is teaching him, so I would say I have a little advantage over the rest of the guys in the league,

And for people who think Dwight has a beef with Gortat, he had this to say.

“I wish Marsh the best. The biggest thing for him is to not get satisfied with what he’s accomplished with his new team and stay humble and don’t let the success that he’s had in games change who he is as a person and as a player. So, I just challenge him to remain that same person he was when he was trying to get the big contract, play big minutes and stuff like that. He has to stay that same person, and if he does, the sky’s the limit.”

What Gortat should have learned from Howard is how to play big, and finish strong. Lately he has been really pissing me off with his soft play in the post. He is a 7 footer with athletic ability, he needs to throw the "darn" ball down with authority, not try all these little flip shots or layups off the backboard because he misses too many of them. Heck he doesn't even have to throw it down hard just drop it over the rim he is already at there ! Don't get me wrong, he has been a great addittion and I love him being on our team but please play big, you are a big not a SF or guard, play big and strong and finish like a big man..........

This guy is 100% certified awesome. I wonder if nash has been giving him tips on how to handle the broke nose.

Btw I hope he's not serious about that GUCCI deal... xD

I love this guy. He's going to be the face of this franchise when Nash retires.

I can see him being an all-star next season

Paul Coro on twitter:

"Gortat had his nose reset last night (w/o pain-killer) but expects to play Sunday. Gentry hinted that he could start him."

Gortat without a nose would be a huge problem. Marcin nose is humongous, Godzilla of all noses. And it's very important for his game. Like squirrels or monkeys use their tails to balnce when moving on trees he uses his nose the same way to get a balance while playing basketball, so no nose or nose not working properly would affect his game a lot.

Gortat just wrote on his twitter that if he'll feel fine tomorow he'll play. And no mask so it's not looking very serious.

"I wont play with mask for sure !!! just little tape!!! P.machine doesnt need any funny mask!"

Wow Gentry finally realizes Gortat and Dudley should be the starter....a lil too don't ya think?

I bet Babby went up to Alvin and said "start em or get fired."

Agreed. Nash, Hill, Frye, Dudley, and Gortat would be a great starting 5. VC should be benched the rest of the year, so should Lopez.

If that's the case I sure am glad Babby waited until we were essentially out of the playoff race to offer that ultimatum
