The team's success has made the transition more enjoyable for Chandler, but he's also been very happy with the situation as a whole.
"It's a great city and the scenery is beautiful," he said. "As far as the team, everybody is great – the coaches, organization and team. Everything is well managed. I love being here."
The Nuggets currently hold the fifth seed in the West, but their position in the standings can still fluctuate. Chandler believes that the Nuggets are in the same spot that the Knicks were prior to the trade and while his jersey changed, his goals didn't.
He still watches Knicks games and hopes that the Knicks do well.
"We were kind of in the same situation in New York," Chandler said. "We were right around the five or six seed and fighting to get in. We're just trying to focus on what we do best, take that to the playoffs and hopefully we can make a run."
He admits that he still watches New York's games on television and made it clear that he wants nothing but success for his former teammates.
"Yeah, I do [watch their games]," Chandler said. "I still have a few friends that play for them so it's not like a bad thing. It's not like I watch their games and hope they lose. I hope they do good because I still have friends on the team."
