I just saw that. Kinda surprising. You have to wonder what their
experts know (or think they know) that us RealGM experts don't know.

Plus do they really need DWill as was postulated earlier
by Nate or someone...

There's no way Minny is trading down for vastly inferior talent after #4. Forget it.

JV, Biyombo, or Leonard would not disappoint me. I was pissed when I first saw we dropped, but after 5 minutes its easy to see why #6 could easily give us the best player in this draft.

Agreed. Williams is better than Beasley or Wes Johnson IMO, so I would think Minny would take DWill and run. Then they can shop Beasley+Johnson for a big.

the one good thing is that Blake Griffen will be so pissed off about what happened to the Clippers pick that he will not resign with a team that has no desire to win..

meh, i think one of biyombo or kanter will be available at 6, singleton at 18, and jordan williams with the 2nd pick. that's a B+ draft right there.

of course the wiz almost never draft who i have draft crushes on so... i'm fully expecting to be disappointed. passing on dejuan blair was the last straw. i've spent every draft day since getting drunk and avoiding TV's and it landed us Johnny Wall.

What if, already having Sideshow and Hickson, the Cavs throw a curve and take DWill #1 since Knight will definitely be there at #4? If they can move BDiddy and/or Jamison for an overpriced but productive SG they could be pretty interesting next year IMO.

With a 5-8 pick, sure, but not with a top-3 selection. If they needed a center, I could see them taking Kanter but they already have a strong bigman rotation with Favors, Jefferson, Millsap and Okur. They won't take Kanter. And at that point, why would they draft Motiejunas or Vesely or any other Euro? Jimmer is not even close to a top-3 pick, white skin or not.

I can't see that happening because Irving is a more sure thing than Williams, IMO. And with a franchise as desperate for a sure thing, they can't afford anyone else.

you're probably right - I'm grasping at straws and/or being facetious.

Love to see Kanter fall to us. And Singleton/Faried. Those things are
still well within the realm of possibility.

From Chad Ford

Not sure exactly what Wolves will do at 2 ... Biyombo isn't out of the question ... no joke.

more chad

I think there's zero suspense at the top. I'm told Cavs love Irving. Suspense begins at 2: Williams, Kanter, Biyombo, trade all possible

If they want Biyombo, we can trade up then. Give them the #18 and try and nab Kanter or D. Williams.

What would it cost us to move to 2 or 3? Minnesota and Utah have little use for Andray Blatche, so I don't think he has much value. Would Crawford, #6, and #18 get us there? I don't think so.

Utah takes Kanter or Valanciunas, Okur expires next year and Jefferson has 2 years left on his contract.

I'm willing to go for the nuclear option.

Javale McGee, #6 and #18 for the #2.

Offer 10 million a year for Marc Gasol.

We all know JaVale is never going to be that good anyway.
