Not a bigger need than a big man. Fields was a very good SG for us last season. Some of you guys really annoy me with some of the things you say ( not specifically talking about you truwwarrior).
Like people are throwing Fields under the bus after his poor playoff performance...seriously c'mon !
the guy was a rookie! jesus freaking christ...
give the guy some time to develop more in those situations...geez
Fields is not really an ideal starting caliber NBA SG (his best position is SF). I could care less about what he did in the playoffs (I've said he's not an ideal SG even early in the season when he was among the top rookies and looking great). The Knicks absolutely could use a SG that can actually either shoot (not just only absolutely when he's open but REALLY shoot) or create shots for himself. Fields doesn't do either (he's a smart player that knows where to be and what do to, rebounds well and hustles). Also just because people don't feel Fields is an ideal SG doesn't mean they are throwing him under the bus. I wouldn't remotely consider trading him for anything short of a lottery pick but he's not really best suited as a SG for this team.
Fine, you saying it this way makes sense. I'm just saying that eventhough Fields being a SF at heart he still did a pretty darn good job playing SG.
Oh well , i guess he will be brought off the bench as our 6th man.
