They won't care if you stab your face, but if we ALL threaten to stab our faces then maybe they won't draft him.

Its amazing how so many people put their foots in their mouths by taking such absolutist positions against prospects. Fact is that we dont know how guys will turn out. Demar looked like a bad shooter and defender too and now he looks like a good building block. As critical as Ive been of Colangelo I trust him completely when it comes to the draft.

As far as his three-point shooting, he shot 28.2 per cent in the Adriatic League this year and 33.3 in the Euroleague on 0.6 makes per game. Of course, that's the Euro 3. Not sure you should be touting his shooting as a strength.

Yes I've watched Vesley play a game because I get Rogers Sportsnet Belgrade. I wasn't touting his shooting but he has the mechanics to hit the 3 point shot, and his size/speed makes for a good defender. The kid is an athlete look at DeMar he couldn't shoot for sheet now he's developed a decent shot you can't teach athletism.

His size doesn't necessarily make for a good defender unless he has the lateral quicks to keep people in front of him, and he doesn't.

I take it from the Belgrade comment that you haven't, in fact, watched him play (there have been lots of opportunities to see him via streams), so I guess we can just wrap this discussion up right now.

I guess all the GM's and mock boards must be wrong on Vesely then. Whoever BC picks I'll trust that player was the best player whoever it is Walker, Vesley, Kanter... cause there's not one player in this draft who doesn't have question marks.

Thanks for the report. He's better than Biyombo. Locke did a report on BB and I wanted to puke.

Raps need a mid to late 1st round pick to get Faried. He can fill Reggie's role when he leaves.

Vesely is a guy I just can't convince myself to like. Bad shooting, bad hands, questionable defense and rebounding tweener.... I sure he has a lot of good things going for him, too many nba people love him but I would rather take Val Kanter or Biyimbo any day of the week

Vesely is already half of AK, he is actually a safer pick than Val and Bismack. I suppose he will be gone by 7th or 8th. I think he is at Davis level and have a better potential being quicker on the floor.

knight or the best big man that falls. at least that makes it easyish to scout.

i still hope against hope that it's biyombo that is good enough to warrant our selection. he's the one that i dream can catalyze our defense and finish at the rim on offense.

he might not be that good but i sure as hell hope he is. does James Johnson/Amir/Davis/Biyombo not look like a decent defensive core?

People are understandably getting all worked up over the mocks showing Vesely to the raps but I don't buy it.

I think he is a guy who will slide into the late lottery.

If we do end up with him atleast we'll have some NBA facials being served up again.....along with the usual side of poor rebounding and defense...../facepalm
