Would anyone NOT do that deal? Fields is a legit player, was basically a top-5 rookie last year. He's a big guard, rebounds very very well for a guard, has good percentages... and most importantly, has really great basketball IQ. There were just so many times when I watched a Knicks game and saw Fields doing stuff that most rookies aren't even vaguely aware of. Basically a heady veteran already.

He's already way better than what we could expect to get with the 15th pick in a weak draft. He would absolutely be our starting SG, and we'd be very pleased with his production.
There is no way any competent GM would ever say, "nah, i'll keep the #15 instead of taking Fields, thanks"
