I really don't know too much about Philly's roster but...
LO/Walton for Iggy/Brackins/Meeks works in trade checker...
I know Iggy, Brackins is a 6-10 230lb (like LO) guy from LA, and I don't know Meeks...
Never have rice at Hanzo's house...

Both minimal contributors but could, at the very least, play the Mbenga/Powell and healthy Walton roles on the team.

Re: Lakers discuss trade involving Odom 4 Iguodala
The Lakers need a PG.
They need a point guard that can do at least three of the following things very well:
(in no particular order)
A. Shoot
B. Defend
C. Penetrate
D. Pass
I don't want to lose anyone one, so pay attention. In order to get a PG who can do three of the aforementioned things the Lakers HAVE TO trade an asset.
There is NO IMPACT PG that will come via free agency. That being said, the only "real" way to acquire a dynamic PG is through a trade.
The Lakers have only two real tradeable assets: Bynum and Odom
Take your pick.
Otherwise, prepare to watch a PG drafted in the 2nd round earn his stripes backing up Steve Blake because anyone who is involved in a trade with the Lakers will insist on either Odom or Bynum.

Re: Lakers discuss trade involving Odom 4 Iguodala
my dream trade would be a 3-team between LAL-CLE-PHILLY
LA Give: LO / Walton / Caracter / Luke
LA Recieve: Varejao / AI / Sessions
Philly Give: AI
Philly Recieve: LO / Luke
Cle Give: Sessions / Varejao
Cle Recieve: Caracter / Ron
LA could throw in some picks from this year or future picks to sweeten the deal and we would have a monster team !!

Re: Lakers discuss trade involving Odom 4 Iguodala
Acquiring Iguodala would give the Lakers everything out of a PG except shooting ...
... so get some knock down shooters that will push Iguodala and Artest (especially) for end game minutes.
This is a simple solution when you have a verstile 6'6 PG who can elitely defend three positions.
Go out and sign little shooters.
With Artest, Kobe, and Iguodala you have three guys who can play SF everyday.
So, off the bench, you just have to bring in two more guards (6'5 or shorter), with Blake, who can shoot(at least one that can actually guard PGs -- other than Blake).
That's why I love the idea of Delonte West and Pavlovic as those guards.
Both would come for the minimum.
PG - Iguodala - Blake
SG - Bryant - West - Fisher
C - Bynum - Gasol - Dampier
PF - Hayes - Murphy
SF - Artest - Pavlovic - Barnes
That is a great, BALANCED team that gives two players off the bench the opportunity to end games (always the sign of a deep well-balanced team).
NOTE: That starting lineup is historically good defensively ... absolutely ridiculous.

^ Cleveland get a little too much for what they give up, which is bad contracts essentially. Philly wouldn't do that unless they got Odom.

not sure if mentioned before, but BSPN is saying that Odom and Walton are being offered for Iggy.

Re: Lakers discuss trade involving Odom 4 Iguodala
Didn't read the entire thread, but I'd be all for it if we could sign a backup PF for the MLE. Iggy isn't really a great fit for Philly with all the young talent they have over there so I could see why the Sixers would do this trade.

Re: Lakers discuss trade involving Odom 4 Iguodala
Yeah I say we'd do that ... apparently it's probably not going to happen as the 76'ers are worried Odom will pout ... we'd probably have to include Ron to give the 76'ers the sense Odom would be happy but for that we better get the #16 back and/or Lou Williams.
