2014/2015 season

Thunder
Lakers
Portland
Clippers
GSW
Houston
Kings
T-wolves

Denver
Memphis
Utah
Mavs
Spurs
Phx
Hornets

You can switch a few teams back and forth I think. So make a prediction where the suns will be from 3 yrs?

THIS is what I am trying to avoid for the Suns.

I think, 2011-2012 season is a good time to do a "Spurs ala 1998", or at THE VERY LEAST the season where the Suns obtain 2-3 YOUNG talented players, through trades or Drafts.

in 2012 Draft.... I've been researching a bit, and 5 players are potential to be Franchise players, similar to the year when Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Yao Ming were drafted....

If Suns can retain all the ROLE players they have, Gortat, Dudley, Childress, Frye.
And land 2 top 15 talents, 1 in top 5 the other between 10-15, the Suns will DO FINE.... around 40-45 wins until the team "fills out" again.

I believe the Suns GM and FO are NOT the same as T'Wolves, Clippers etc, that they will allow the team to succumb to losing seasons multiple times.

Remember Portland Trail Blazers??... Before Oden, Roy etc, the team had a Playoff Run for 15+ years, then missed out on 1-2 seasons as they were Rebuilding, but now... they look to continue to be playoff contenders for the next 5 years.

I THINK, and I BELIEVE the SUNS are same as BLAZERS...... and not T'Wolves, Warriors and Clippers who are have a very very disfunctional FO..... they have the talent, but the FO and coaching are a joke.

Suns land either 2 players that play SG/SF/PF in 2012 Draft.
- James McAdoo
- Mike Gilchrist
- Brad Beal
- Perry Jones
- Marcus Teague

Suns will be back on the playoffs within 1-2 seasons.... as the Lakers, Spurs, Mavs will be declining in 2-3 seasons time...

UNLESS the Suns KEEP DOING what they DO... and try for 8th spots.... then I can definitely SEE Lakers, Spurs, Mavs trading their "OLD" stars for high picks... and GUESS WHAT?..... Suns MISS OUT, and those teams CONTINUE to be good....

HENCE, why my continuous RANTS of getting young TALENTS ASAP....

By the way, to BH, Mike Gilchrist is 17 years old, so if he sounds like an immature person on his interviews... its because he is technically still a kid.

It's all about the 1 year rebuild. Don't take on any salary this year, get a great pick and have room for big spending the following year. Draft a SF and sign a SG. FO has their sights set on the frontcourt with Morris and Gortat. Maybe Nash stays, maybe he doesn't but at least we'll have some young talent.

Heard Gilly might have some trouble if the new age limit thing comes into play since he's a year ahead of his class. Both the PG's (Teague/Kabongo) are toothpicks. They will probably stay in college for at least 2 years. Cream of the crop are the wing players. Perry Jones and James Mcadoo will probably be PF's and FO already has Kieff pegged as the PF of the future so you think they'd go SG/SF. Assuming we're picking around #10 i have my eyes on (SG) Beal/Rivers/Lamb or (SF) Miller/Thomas/Gilchrist... Barnes, Sullinger, Jones and Davis will likely be picked before us. Just for kicks say we take Adonis Thomas and sign OJ Mayo and Nash possibly stays on the cheap because he sees a future and wants to crack the top 3 assists all time list... Trade Lopez/Brooks for a late 1st and take a backup PG like Kendall Marshall-

Nash, Marshall
Mayo, Dudley
Thomas, Childress
Morris, Warrick
Gortat, Frye

I can live with that!

I like Barnes a lot as a our SF of the future. I do think we will crack the top 10 in the lottery this year. I just dont see this team doing much. Also, in 2013, there are some solid bigs in the draft. Take two years in the high lottery, aquaire some picks and rebuild fast. Like was thamadkant said.

I am not sold on Perry as of yet. I see the talent, but I see a Lamar Odom, Clark, or Tim Thomas mentality. guy has the talent, but not the drive every game. it was good for him to stay another year.

Agreed, we need high character, high motor kind of guys. This team is built on chemistry and someone who just doesn't give a damn (VC) can do a lot to ruin that.
