You can switch a few teams back and forth I think. So make a prediction where the suns will be from 3 yrs?
THIS is what I am trying to avoid for the Suns.
I think, 2011-2012 season is a good time to do a "Spurs ala 1998", or at THE VERY LEAST the season where the Suns obtain 2-3 YOUNG talented players, through trades or Drafts.
in 2012 Draft.... I've been researching a bit, and 5 players are potential to be Franchise players, similar to the year when Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Yao Ming were drafted....
If Suns can retain all the ROLE players they have, Gortat, Dudley, Childress, Frye.
And land 2 top 15 talents, 1 in top 5 the other between 10-15, the Suns will DO FINE.... around 40-45 wins until the team "fills out" again.
I believe the Suns GM and FO are NOT the same as T'Wolves, Clippers etc, that they will allow the team to succumb to losing seasons multiple times.
Remember Portland Trail Blazers??... Before Oden, Roy etc, the team had a Playoff Run for 15+ years, then missed out on 1-2 seasons as they were Rebuilding, but now... they look to continue to be playoff contenders for the next 5 years.
I THINK, and I BELIEVE the SUNS are same as BLAZERS...... and not T'Wolves, Warriors and Clippers who are have a very very disfunctional FO..... they have the talent, but the FO and coaching are a joke.
Suns land either 2 players that play SG/SF/PF in 2012 Draft.
- James McAdoo
- Mike Gilchrist
- Brad Beal
- Perry Jones
- Marcus Teague
Suns will be back on the playoffs within 1-2 seasons.... as the Lakers, Spurs, Mavs will be declining in 2-3 seasons time...
UNLESS the Suns KEEP DOING what they DO... and try for 8th spots.... then I can definitely SEE Lakers, Spurs, Mavs trading their "OLD" stars for high picks... and GUESS WHAT?..... Suns MISS OUT, and those teams CONTINUE to be good....
HENCE, why my continuous RANTS of getting young TALENTS ASAP....
By the way, to BH, Mike Gilchrist is 17 years old, so if he sounds like an immature person on his interviews... its because he is technically still a kid.
