Best Packers season we could see in decades, IMO. 40 years from now when the Packers underachieve, I'll lecture my grand kids on how the 2010-11 Packers would have overcome the setbacks without blinking (and after my tirade I'll scream "Kuhn!!!!!" for effect then stand up and belt and break my hip).

3 things that brought a smile to my face this time around:

1. Rodgers on a few of his throws when he is sprinting one way, throws across his body 60 yards to Jennings.

2. Jennings' routes making people look like fools.

3. The Pats game. I was there and while I left a bit down on our playoff chances, Flynn's performance was incredible.

4. Tramon.

I've never heard of this America's game special, where can it be viewed?

NFL Network

That blows

I moved into an apartment by my daughter's school so she could stay in the Greenfield school district, we can't have Dish Network here, have to use Time Warner and they don't carry the NFL Network. I have a pretty sweet package deal with Time Warner, but the one thing that sucks is no NFL Network.

Hopefully once this special airs that you're all talking about, i can find some place online to check it out.

Quinn makes good on losing Bears bet

KENOSHA—
— Though it pained him greatly, Gov. Pat Quinn headed across the state line Tuesday to make good on a bet.

Wearing a Packers jersey, Illinois' governor stocked food pantry shelves with dried fruit, stuffing, chicken broth and the ever-appropriate macaroni and cheese. The food was donated by Walgreens, Kraft Foods and other Illinois companies, all to help Quinn pay off his friendly-but-losing wager that the Bears would beat the Green Bay Packers in January's NFC Championship game.

"I've been a Bears fan all my life, and this is not easy," Quinn said during his appearance at the Shalom Center Food Pantry. "I've never worn a Packers jersey and I hope I never have to wear one again."

The governor sported a No. 75 Packers jersey, the number worn by offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga, who was born in Illinois. To make his allegiance clear, Quinn layered it over a Gale Sayers jersey, joking that the former Bear and Hall of Fame member was "closer to my heart."

Quinn made the wager seven months ago with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican. But it took the Chicago Democrat a while to pay up, with Quinn acknowledging he stayed away in part because of unrest over labor issues in Wisconsin.

"I look forward to having him back when the Green Bay Packers repeat as Super Bowl champions," Walker said in a statement.

Just thinking back to this I remember jumping around and going nuts when Tramon broke up the 4th down play and then my brother (who is not a football fan at all) stopping me and saying they called a penalty. I was so depressed and then he started laughing at me.

Rewatching the Superb Owl and totally forgot that Howard F'ing Green made on of the biggest plays of the year pressuring and hitting the arm which led to Collins TD return. That play was huge making the game a mountain to climb for the steelers.

Same here, I was watching highlights the other day and I almost forgot about Green until that play.

Bump for fapping (BYOT). Bring your own towel.

A lot of the same plays but better quality I think.

YOTTO 2

For those with bad memories. How can you not love this guy? Can anyone remember a bigger mismatch as a receiver (at WR or TE) in your lifetime?

That TD pass to Finley against the Lions was the lulz.

Somewhere out there, there's a video of Keith Jackson and Michael Irvin having sex about nine months before J-Mike was born. But twirl won't share the proof.

And now he is down some weight and should be even more dynamic. Too bad he can't block.

Oh yeah, I just watched those Finley highlights. After I cleaned the fap off me I had a really nice thought. Think about how safe Rodgers was with this ball this year, without Finley. Finley is the one guy he can throw the ball up to when in danger and it's very likely to either be catch Finley or incomplete. He can put it in places where the db has no chance at beating J Mike to the ball.

His coming out party was week 4 in 2009 versus the Vikes when he basically doubled his career totals in receptions and yards in a huge game on national TV. There was a lot of talk about Finley that preseason after his very unimpressive first year. In the Minny game he showed why so many were excited about him.

Work in DC and walked over to the White House in some Packers' garb to see the boys today, but unfortunately my timing was bad, and my boss called a meeting and I had to get back, so I never saw anything.

Did see a surprising amount of fans wearing gear, and talked to a few people driving up to Cleveland that made a nice vacation out of it...

A beautiful day. Reminded me of the Monday after the SB....

Return to Green Bay Packers
