I hear what Sonrise is saying...it's tough to see him playing...but one game is one game. Like "Ebo" said the risks of getting injured in a one-off are way less than playing over several weeks and wearing the body down quite a bit. Most of the "big men" defending Tristan were not playing him overly hard. At one point he was guarded by Anthony Bennett, who was labouring a bit so wasn't really playing him tough and even Cory Joseph was guarding him in the post so it wasn't too taxing a game.
There are a lot of other factors at play here unfortunately that are keeping players like Tristan from playing for Canada. Let's not get too angry with them, I'm disappointed too as I asked them about it last night and want to see Canada do some work internationally, but we can only support and encourage them at this point.
You guys can see what they said about playing for Canada once I get the interviews up with Cory, Tristan and Myck on the weekend. Of course old news but Cory did confirm he's got all the insurance issues dealt with and he's looking forward to playing for Canada. He'll be joining the Nats on August 12th I believe.
Myck wants to play for Canada and so does Tristan. One day I am sure they will suit up and do work for this great country! Think positive.
