Charles over Foster?

Post#1 » by Bleeding Blue » Mon Aug 29, 2011 8:16 pm

I have the #2 pick in my draft this friday. Assuming AP goes #1 I am considering drafting Charles with the 2nd pick. With Chris Johnson holding out and Fosters hamstring injury I am worried....I am considering trying to trade my #2 pick for the 3 or 4 straight up....thoughts on both?

If you look at my teams, I took Ray Rice as early as 3rd in one of my leagues.

With the first 5-7 guys it's hard to go wrong.

AP, Foster, Charles, Rice, McCoy, Any of those guys should give you 1st round production.
If your worried about Foster's hamstring, take Charles or Rice, you should be fine with any of them.
If it's a PPR league, I'd tend to go with Rice, if not either Rice or Charles

Would appreciate your thought on my teams in the other thread.

If it's PPR go with Charles. But I've heard enough people say Foster would be ready for week one, so I'd go with him in standard formats.

I will be in the minority here, but I took Charles over Foster.

What type of league was it (PPR)?

Foster out up to a month now. Don't draft him over Charles, Rice, McCoy, and a handful of others at this point as hammy injuries tend to linger.

Thats what I hear, leaning towards charles heavy now...non PPR league. Would you guys risk the #2 on Johnson?

Ray Rice is probably a safer pick at this point.

Now Chris Johnson has signed, you take him at #2?

In non-PPR formats, I like him #3. I would go Peterson, Rice than Johnson because of their consistency. I'd probably put Charles ahead of Johnson only in PPR leagues.

Charles? No, no, no!

Can he beast? Sure.

Is he really risky, like really, really risky? Absolutely.

It seems the eaely report on Foster was premature and he shouldn't miss more then a week.

I might still take him and make sure I get Tate late.

If not, this is easily one of Rice or Chris Johnson and I go Rice all day.

I'd take Rice #1 if I was that worried about Foster, I like him that much.
