I will say again, whoever gambles and pays big money for Gourcuff will regret it. He has the tools to be good but he's just never had the heart to make himself good.

Fans already got a few chants for him.

1-year loan with option to buy. He'll be #77.

Agree with you there. Not big on Elia either, too inconsistent, but could be better than Arshavin, and still young.

Fair play to him of he can stay fit and play football again. He deserves some luck and if someone offers to pay him to sit on a bench, good for his finances. He was prepared to play this season for free at United.

However if this is just another wind up tactic to spite United, it'd be very unfair on the player and small time stature from City.

Apparently Diego Lugano (Uruguayan Captain) said that Pereira is off to Chelsea in a press conference just now.

Still nothing confirmed and a lot of conflicting reports, but it's looking more likely that this will get done.

Telegraph:

News just in that Chelsea have made enquires to Bayern München about the possible transfer of Franck Ribery, presumably pessimistic about a deal for Modric. Strange direction taken really – very different type of player and only one year into a five year deal. No doubting quality though. CFC thought to be considering package of €32m which will almost certainly be rejected. Anything closer to/exceeding €40m might tempt FCB however. Will update you as we hear more about this.

 Don't see this happening as he's already cup-tied.

Btw, I actually don't think Pereira to CFC deal will happen. Aside from Lugano, most reports from last night and this morning have been suggesting that the deal fell through. Chelsea wants to pay 22M max.

Read somewhere on twitter so take it FWIW, seems like Arsenal have a bid accepted for Cahill for 14 mil.

SSN reported earlier this morning that Arsenal ended their interest in Cahill (after signing Mertesacker). It's their neighbours who look more likely to sign Cahill though.

Major Israeli sports website is reporting that Benayoun's flying back to London to sign with Tottenham. Wonder if Modric will be involved

Honestly doesn't look like Modric to Chelsea or Sneijder to Utd will go down.

Whoever spends more than 50ct on Elia gets ripped off. I haven't seen a single good game by him in all his time in Germany. Not one.

Rumors say that Dortmund have rejected a 40m€ offer for Götze from Arsenal. They won't sell him.

Felix Magath wants to buy Hleb from Barcelona and has already bought some young swedish striker. Patrik Helmes could be one his way out.

I guess Michael Ballack could be had for free if Arsenal wants him... but he really sucks now. Still, perhaps not a bad short-term fix.
