+1. They were still expecting Lackey to be a solid #2 type pitcher when they signed him (even if he was their #3), but after his first year in Boston I think they were more realistic on their views about him (a declining player since '07). However, Crawford is getting paid like a top 5 player in the game, and he was poised for a big year with the firepower the Red Sox have offensively. Expectations were much higher for Crawford this year than Lackey.
