Had a test today and didn't catch the match. Not all that surprised with the result, United are in a really tough spell of form right now.

Lucas Leiva out for the season with knee ligament damage. Shame, from what I'd seen of him this season, he seemed to be starting to live up to the faith Liverpool have shown in him.

Ba was technically offside, but yeah, if they didn't call the offside, it should have been a red.

Very entertaining first half. Defence is still a problem for Chelsea, but it's been much better this half simply because the midfield is doing its job. Ramires and Romeu have been fantastic. Just need better finishing from Sturridge who's just playing with Taylor right now.

Sturridge could easily have had a hat trick by half.

We got very lucky on the Luiz call, I don't see how the ref calls a foul on that and it isn't a red. Pretty clear cut.

The only explanation could be that Cech was gaining speed and getting close to the ball, but I think Ba would still have had the chance to touch the ball first.

Pretty entertaining game. From the POV of the spectacle, I'm glad Dean got the Luiz decision wrong, because it turned out to be a good contest. Definitely not Newcastle's day, though - hit the post/bar 3 times, should probably have been playing against 10 for 86 minutes, and lost both their starting CBs to injury.

He better be around £10 million for his form this season alone, I don't care if he's English. He's been so bad.

Good sign on Anelka leaving, moves up Lukaku in the pecking order, just need to sell Kalou now. Also, read on the Independent that AVB is trying to offload Cech, I know it's BS but just had to mention it. Although Courtois is having a great season for Atletico this season, besides that sending off in the last game.
