cruel world, but that's business... if I was a GM on another team, I wouldn't help us either... Otis has to find a way to circumvent this!

You'd think Otis, being a GM for some time to these circumstances above, would do the cap space strategy and make pitches to CP3 , D-Will 1on1 instead of GMs to GMs to GMs...

But Im still hopeful of a CP3 trade until its over (I see a Celtic CP3, and then FA after which is good atleast). After that, if its not us in the CP3 trade, I think Otis knows D-will is not on the block and if he doesn't get a Ellis, J-Smoove, Iggy deal soon after, he will move to make the cap space next summer.

The only difference is if Dwight says he wants out now, Otis will actually do it quickly. Which is a huge mistake, there are less options in FA for D12, especially as Otis communicates the strategy to D12 and the team is sitting cap space pretty for D12 and his choice of star PG (still retaining a supporting cast of prolly Ryan, Jameer, Turk, Harper, Liggins, Orton; armed with Otis trade/MLE ingenuity -Pietrus, Bass, Barnes, Alston- and DeVos pockets). The LA offer is not bad, but its a huge mistake. Most fans will not stand up for that history repeat, and its even worse, its a 16mil contract (same as Dwight, but somehow we'll be better?) player who misses more than 1/3rd of his games. Can you imagine the vitriol rising if he's out injured in a Magic uni? Think Grant Hill all over again, and then add some more insult. The new player has to be genuinely marketable and equally efficient on the floor (and on rookie space) or the package has to have quality players all over (draftees, 1-7mil range only). In the end, I think Otis retreads his path and inputs Dwight on a potential cap space roster, where Dwight will ultimately oblige. He can recruit his star to Orl.

Yes, it will make their front-court better... but I would assume they wouldn't have enough salary cap to sign CP3 or D-Will in the summer, or be able trade for either them (assets aren't great, even if bundled with Chandler's ridiculous contract). So let him go there.

Orlando can still compete with them. We've faced tougher bigs than Chandler in the past... like Boston (Davis, KG, Perkins, etc...). Just having Dwight still makes us a contender, regardless of who's around Dwight on the floor imo.

Now, it MIGHT, but we still have cards to play to put us over the top.

Hi! Welcome to the board and a big waste of your life. So many disappointments, but maybe this team we will be vindicated with the arrival of CP3.

Plan B for Knicks is to move forward with Amar'e, Carmelo, Chandler. Plan A is to trade Amar'e for Chris Paul.

If I was the GM, I would spend 50% of my time finding a strategic way to clear cap space for the off-season, and the other 50% on acquiring a star player... and overlap ideas and various plans/scenarios

I think Otis is just under a lot of pressure... we'll see what he pulls off #crossesfingers #Godhelpus

Amar'e for Paul? Sure, NOH is really waiting for a 20/mil a year injury-prone Amar'e

lol CP3/Amare (pick n roll/pick n pop) > CP3/Melo

Knicks organization are crazy

No way NOH take on a 30 year old Amare on a huge contract... they could get a better deal from GSW

wait: how about if i throw this out there now- now NYK trading melo and fields for CP3 and ariza (because tyson+amare+ariza+hill+CP3 > tyson+amare+melo+fields+douglas)

screws melo over but NOH would say yes to that IMO

i hope new york isn't thinking what i'm thinking

This is getting crazier and crazier.

What about the news that NOH is possibly willing to accept an Ellis for Paul deal? That would really, really screw us.

Then the Magic (jerk guy friend) swoops in and has his way with the sorrowful Warriors (girl that got rejected and is weeping)

Ellis time! Let's go!

Losing Chandler to the knicks could possibly kill that because Paul said that he would likely go where Tyson is going and if the knicks get Tyson then it's almost assured that Paul won't re-sign in Golden State if he's traded there...So then why would GS give up Ellis for a Rental????

Hmm, I guess with T-Mac signing with ATL, it was probably a safe re-signing for them.
