honestly, the writing was on the wall here. I have been pro-CP3 all summer, but it was pretty obvious once word came out about all the money he was going to lose that it was going to be a SERIOUS hassle to get him, if possible at all.

I'm over it. dk7th has been preaching this a while, but champion teams run the offense through all their players, not just one. I never believed that Chris Paul would completely hinder Carmelo and Amar'e from becoming better play makers, but now the onus is really on them. We could be a better team because of this. We'll probably go triangle or something like that unless Baron comes, and even then we'll probably play a lot of triangle.

This is fine, this is good even. It's too bad we don't get to see CP3 in a Knicks uniform, but these next few seasons don't need to be wasted on trade rumors.

TD is good and young i don't understand the hate....Melo and Amare are good 1 on 1 guys anyways we don't need a great facilitator to be honest

Turiaf is getting traded for nothing.

I would have really hoped we could flip TD for a real PG, but I lost the ability to hope 6 hours ago.

Why are u so mad?

We have one of the best rebounding teams in the nba now. Our defense just jumped way up....all we are going to do is need to replace billups which shouldn't be that hard...he checked out anyways.

Turiaf will get us something..,he is a quality backup C for a decent contract

I'm not mad. I'm realistic. We addressed a weakness for sure, but we torpedoed our offensive efficiency in the process.

And Turiaf is just getting traded for capspace.

Dwight is going to the Lakers, I fear. Teams always bend over for the Lakers, Yankees and to a slightly lesser degree, the Phillies.

Exactly!

Sorry guys but Billups is OLDER than Jesse Jackson's perm...

The guy played no D and on top of that shot 3's like a mad man..

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Chandler is only 29 , he's still in his prime!
WE NEEDED A CENTER GUYS more so than a PG

bynum for howard isn't unrealistic, its the lakers man.

what the fawk did I just read?

You just read trade Melo for Deron Williams, since Melo is overrated.

basically code for deron will leave the nets and they need carmelo to be the face of their team once they move brooklyn

Just no. Did you see TD at PG last year? The dude has zero vision, Billups was so much better at moving the ball around but he was also a chucker, we need a solid PG and hope we can get one somehow.

Chauncey chucked the hell out of the ball too. TD's vision improved during that end of the season with that 7 game win streak.

He didn't do too bad against Boston. The defense against Rondo was more so the problem but he had two badly hurt shoulders. I can't hold it against him.

Impossible without a sign and trade. Max contract length for players from other teams is 4 years.

Isn't Billups getting traded to Dallas?

Offensive effeciency? We now will have a great offensive rebounding team getting tons of second chances. Melo and Stat make there own efficiency! its not like billups was an efficient PG...it became more and more clear CP3 wasn't coming knicks acted smart and wise and jumped on a great option to really give them a legit shot this yr for a ring

Why are some saying Turiaf is gone? I know he has to be moved, but have they already? And if so what was the trade?

If they're really going to overpay for Chandler, they need to lose D'Antoni - since Chandler is not his kind of player.

I'm starting a razor blade concession. I'm gonna be rich!

Line up, get ya blades... and remember - down the road, not across the street.

Anyone just coming to this board by mistake would think we were still a 23-win team. There is never any happiness here.
