I like this move. We're going all in to compete for a championship now. I laugh at people all nervous about Crawford based on his past here when we had no dominant personalities or superstars around him. Crawford will be DEADLY as a third scoring option behind Stat & Melo. If anything he allows us to actually play a lineup where we can rest both simultaneously. There is great value in that. It will keep our stars fresh. Star players love Crawford, that should tell you something about what he brings to the table. They all hold him in very high regard (Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Paul, Stat, Melo, Durant, etc.) each speak highly of him. They understand his value, if the fans don't. Crawford was miscast in his first stint in NY. He was originally brought in to be a third option behind Marbury/Houston...it just didn't work out that way due to Houston's debilitating knee injury. Don't conveniently ignore that fact. Lastly, regarding Crawford's defensive shortcomings...Iman Shumpert mitigates those concerns. Doesn't matter how young or unproven he is. He defends, he WANTS to defend and he has a defensive mentality. If nothing else he will get minutes behind Crawford if he's a turnstile, for those very reasons.
