Von Wafer highlights. Dude has got skill. looks like he just needed an opportunity. Maybe he can be a break out star for us.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part IX)
anyone see this on the lakers board? theres a rumor going around about a derrick williams and kevin love deal for pau gasol. since the wolves gm is david kahn i can somewhat buy it. if we were to trade dwight and turk for pau and bynum we could flip pau to the wolves for love and williams so the trade would essetially be dwight and turk for kevin love, pau gasol, and derrick williams. sounds like a good haul to me. a bynum and love front court sounds awesome and you have the #2 pick from last year we could put williams at the 3.
jameer
jrich
d williams
love
bynum
if bynum stays healthy and williams pans out this could be a veery competitive team and we can have our own big 3 of bynum love and williams.
in case anyone is wondering why on earth minny would do this it looks like they think love will leave so they are trying to get something for him

Kahn is a freaking idiot(more than usual) if he does that deal, no way.
it has to be some Laker blogger spewing up that nonsense.

Maybe I'm being overly skeptical but these highlights don't impress me at all. It's easy to filter out all the bad stuff and string together a clip of highlights to make a guy look good but while I'm looking at this video I'm seeing Wafer:
- Take a ton of really bad, well-contested shots.
- Drive to the right and ALWAYS go up for a weak lay-up
- Take a jumper every time he's going to his left
- Not get a lot of lift on his layups
Basically just a lot of moves that make him look good against inferior players that wouldn't work in the NBA. Most of those layups would get blocked either by his defender or weak-side help.

Now these highlights impress me....The thing is i don't know where Stan will put him in the Rotation...Will he go Loyalty over Talent? As much as i love JJ he didn't really impress me in the practice of course it's only first impression....To be honest neither did J-Rich...Let me wait until the game tomorrow to make further judgement

I honestly believe it's time for us to ship some guys out for talent. Redick being one of them. He's a good player, but he's just not what we need. We desperately desperately need a shot creator in out starting line up. I don't mind J-Rich starting at the two, but we need a dynamic guard at the one. I say package JJ for that guy, and give Wafer his minutes behind J-Rich.

Wafer is a one dimensonial scorer in the mold of Ronald "Flip" Murray. If he gets into the rotation, he's going to give you 10-12ppg in 20 or so minutes of play.

That doesn't sound too bad. Define one dimensional though?
