I don't quite get the "sign an aging player for a logjammed position taking even more players from developing players so they can supposedly be mentored by that aging player as that surely helps them more than playing time, right?" thing. I don't even now Jamison being a horrible defender is a good thing or not (he can mentor his bad defense but we could tank at the same time), I just think signing him for more than one year would be criminal considering our cap situation and signing him for one year doesn't make sense to me. I would rather showcase Tyrus if not anything else. I mean if an aging player comes to rebuilding team via trade pursuing other goals as well, than ok I guess. Signing one as an FA, when such a player would expect minutes doesn't seem smart to me. Ok, Jamison could put some people in to seat I guess.
Let Cpt. Maggette do the mentoring
