They'll likely amnesty or trade Deandre Jordan if Dwight goes there.

didn't deandre get his new contract during the offseason? they can't amnesty him.

true...

But I'm pretty sure knowing that the Clippers could just sign Dwight straight up...

The Magic would just do a sign and trade in exchange for DeAndre...

Besides someone is going to want Deandre anyway. Young athletic big man... Those don't grow on trees.

Seriously the Clips would be pretty dumb not to trade Griffen for the best C in the game. You'd have one of the best PG to go along with the best center and have Billups and Bulter. Thats a very scary team with who ever you get to play pf. Cp3 is clutch and wills his team to wins and so does Chauncey, Butler is a very solid vet and Dwight is just a beast. That team could compete for years, why wait for Griffen when you could have the best team right now?

Yes, when you trade away your superstar you do tend to get less in value mostly. But when there is a better package of Bynum out there why would they consider D.Jordan ? You actually think every GM out there is as stupid as Otis ?

That's just how the mentality of these things work from the different sides.

Same reason Bulls didn't want to include Deng in a trade for Kobe back in 2007.

I can't speak for every Magic fan, but this Magic's fan's response is "lol".

I can't spaek for Magic fans, but this trade is "lol".

If Dwight can be had for basically this kind of deal, then I will be a true believer in David Stern's Clippers conspiracy theories.

Cleveland fans wish they had time to prepare. I respect Dwight Howard for being straight forward and honest. The same with Chris Paul.

Dwight was not the reason they lost to atlanta last year, whereas we saw game 5 in boston.

Big differences IMO. Both have crappy supporting casts but there's that element that seperates them.
Also Dwight's letting it known he wants out.

Not everyone wants to pretend they are saints like you. Superstars are also human like us. They have a right to choose what is best for them, only slavery in the past prevent human rights. Teams have the rights to choose who they want and not the players ? You actually believe in the word of "Loyalty" in the modern world ? it's a word for the employers to fool their employees.

this begs the question-would you? Blake for howard (of course they'd have to add in salaries to match).

If LAC is willing to trade Griffin they could have Howard.
I don't think they are willing to trade Griffin.

Meanwhile they have no money in free agency next year and:
"That source also said it now appears more likely that Howard will play out the season with the Magic"

as a Magic fan...

Knowing whats going on down here..

Its REALLY unlikely the Magic are going to trade Dwight anywhere at this point...

Besides... Lakers have no leverage anyways... Something I don't understand when people say they're the ONLY team he can go to. They don't have the cap space, and they don't really have the players the Magic want to rebuild in the future.

The Clippers on the other hand have A LOT of leverage. They got the tradeable young players (Outside of Giffin and Paul, those guys aren't getting traded). They've go the younger core in which Dwight would be appealed to go to. And on top of that, they have the cap space to go after him this off-season.

If he wanted to, he can opt out and sign with them if he wanted to.

So I mean the only way the Magic could get anything in return, is if they do a sign and trade in which the got Beldsoe and Jordan.

Not a good trade. But it would salvage them....

b-b-but they got cp3 man!! who cares how much they had to give up!

HOOPSWORLD - Eric Pincus

BTW - Clippers I can verify have NO interest in trading Blake Griffin for anyone in the league (including Howard)

Blake-Jordan-filler for Howard, Anderson, and J-Rich. The Clips need a SG.
